Chapter 72: Out of Control

"How could you be here? I told you to leave early! Why didn't you go?" Yun Yun's delicate face, hidden beneath her black robe, was filled with disbelief. Tears streamed down her cheeks; she felt an unbearable pain in her heart. Wiping the tears away with her slender hand, she couldn't understand this overwhelming emotion!

At that moment, powerful auras erupted simultaneously from different directions around the city. Gu He, who was hovering in mid-air, also changed his expression. Seeing his reaction, Hua She Er sneered, "The eight leaders of the Snake Tribe have arrived! You despicable humans, your time is up!"

Gu He's expression changed dramatically as he rushed forward, catching her and flying toward the beast in the sky.

Moon Mei, who was atop the beast, saw Gu He and the others in such a sorry state and couldn't help but mock them, "So now you realize the Snake Tribe isn't easy to mess with?"

Gu He had no time to respond to her. Yun Yun had already fainted, leaving him no choice but to carry her to a room. He then whistled, and the beast let out a roar, ready to take off.

Seeing Gu He and the others trying to escape, Mo Ba Si let out an angry roar, "You think you can leave just like that after coming to our Snake Tribe?"

Yan Shi laughed wildly, "They're just a bunch of small snakes! I come and go as I please!" Ignoring Mo Ba Si's dark expression, he turned to Gu He and asked, "What about her?"

He was referring to Moon Mei. Gu He frowned and replied, "Forget it, just throw her down. It'll help prevent that Snake Tribe leader from chasing us!"

Yan Shi nodded slightly and walked over to Moon Mei. Her face turned pale; being in mid-air, her power was sealed. If she was thrown down and no one caught her, she would undoubtedly die!

Yan Shi coldly laughed, "Since Old He said to let you go, then I will. But if your people can't catch you, that proves you're not meant to live!"

Before Moon Mei could respond, Yan Shi seized her and hurled her toward Mo Ba Si, who was pursuing them!

Seeing the figure being thrown from the beast, Mo Ba Si squinted and cursed, "Damn it!" After hesitating briefly, he decided to stop pursuing the beast and rushed toward Moon Mei, catching her mid-air and flying back to the Snake Tribe.

The other leaders arriving to chase the intruders were about to move when the elder of the Snake Tribe spoke up, "Forget it, don't pursue them. "Understood!" the tribal leaders responded in unison.

Inside the purple barrier, Queen Medusa watched as the Heavenly Flame consumed her sister, turning Die into her true form, the giant snake. She felt a deep worry for her sister's safety. This was a Heavenly Flame; even the slightest touch could reduce a person to ashes!

As the red snake entered the flames, a piercing scream erupted, sending shivers down everyone's spine. The blue-green flames burned the red snake's body, and the terrifying heat had already evaporated the Ice Spirit Cold Spring to nothingness. At that moment, massive scales began to twist and deform on the red snake, eventually charring and falling helplessly to the ground.

The shedding of the scales formed bloody holes on the red snake's surface, and bright red blood gushed out. However, the moment the blood appeared, it was evaporated by the terrifying temperature of the flames.

The surrounding Snake Tribe experts also changed their expressions, but they could only watch as the purple barrier—set by Queen Medusa with all her strength—was impenetrable to them. They could only gaze in horror as Queen Medusa transformed and dived into the Heavenly Flame!

Once inside, Queen Medusa finally understood the pain her sister was enduring. The agony tore through her very soul, driving her mad, and like Cai Die, she let out a heart-wrenching scream!
