Chapter １５

"Well, you need to go home as soon as possible." I stood up and hugged him tightly, praying that he would come back early. I don’t know what will happen to both of us if he comes back late.

"Yes, I will. As soon as the conference is over, I will have the earliest flight here. Who knows? Maybe by the time I come back, you two will have become good friends." I smiled, and when I wasn't paying attention, he hugged me to bed, and I was really shy but I did not fight with him anymore. I just let him do whatever he wants.

"Ah, am I in the way?" Diana came in without knocking at the door, and she didn't want to go out when she saw us in that awkward position. She was still waiting for us.

Donald replied to her mother saying, "No mother you were not disturbing us. You can come in. Why are you here by the way? Do you need anything?" he got up immediately when she saw her.

"The person who hosted the banquet called. He thought I was going to hold another wedding. He sent a sample of tableware, because I told him your favorite color, and I also said that it should not be pink.” She paused for a moment then continued to speak. “Therefore, from now on, everything about the wedding must be approved by my future daughter-in-law." Diana came leisurely with a beautiful set of tableware, and made it look like I liked it. She also agreed that I should organize the wedding. And I was really relieved by what she said.

"Thank you very much. Thank you so much for doing this." I'm glad she can do this, and I appreciate it.

"Really?" Of course, it's true.

The phone on the desk suddenly rang, we all looked at it but Donald was the one to answer it. "OK, I'll be right down, thank you."

"By the way, how about this set of tableware? What do you think? Is it to your liking?" Diana raised the tableware in her hand and asked my opinion.

"Wow, how beautiful, Diana, thank you. I really like it." I took the tableware in her hand and observed it carefully. The pattern on it is very beautiful and the workmanship is very fine. I have to say that her eyes are really good. It was really made intricately.

"I'm glad you like it. When I saw this tableware, I instantly thought of you. So, I hurriedly went here to let you see it." She came forward and hugged me. 

I was stunned for a moment, but returned her hug.

"The car I rented has come to pick me up, and I have to go first. Goodbye, mother, goodbye, dear, I love you. Have a good time together! I will be back as soon as possible" Donald watched us hug each other and said goodbye with joy.

"Don't worry dear, we will have a good time. I will be a good roommate. I swear, it's good to have a girlfriend. We will have a lot of fun together." She hugged me tightly and didn't give me a chance to relax. Before I said goodbye to Donald, he had already gone out with his suitcase. I was so sad that I didn’t even hug him before he left.

"Yes, we will live well." I'm almost breathless in her arms.

Late at night, I couldn't sleep because of a cry in my sleep. I tried to open my sleepy eyes and turn on the light. The light was a little dazzling. I immediately got out of bed and went to Diana's room with the cry.

"What's the matter with you, Diana? What happened? Are you ok?" I saw her hiding under the quilt and crying loudly. I don’t know what to do.

"I can't sleep. I can't sleep well alone." She said while still crying under the quilt.

"I'm by your side. Don't cry. Did you forget to take your medicine at night?" I pulled open the quilt and helped her lie flat. Then continue to say “I won’t leave you, I will be here for you. Relaxed. Everything will be okay.” I was reassuring her.

"I will take the medicine. Oh, I forgot. Can you get it for me? They are over there in the cupboard." Seeing me coming, her mood stabilized a little. How can she forget to take her medicine? I thought.

"You lie down well first, and I will help you get the medicine." I tucked her in and went to the cupboard to get the medicine.

I went out to get her medicine in the cupboard. I was walking to her room when I saw her looking at the ceiling as if thinking something.

"Diana, please get up, I brought you your medicine." I walked to her bedside and sat beside her.

"Oh, pour me another glass of water. How can I drink without water?" She sat up and took the medicine, ready to throw it into her mouth, only to find that there was no water.  I forgot to fetch her some so I went out again.

"All right." I said but I was so sleepy that my eyelids kept fighting, but I had to endure to help her get water.

"I can't drink the water in the faucet. It will give me a stomach ache. Can you bring me Evian mineral water and add some ice?" This is unreasonable request, why can't she drink the water in the faucet? We all drink it. Do we have stomach aches when we drink iced water in the middle of the night? It's strange. Why will she get a stomach ache from the faucet water and not from the cold water?

"Mm-hmm, I see. I will get you your Evian water." If you add ice to it, it will cause her stomachache. Anyway, it's not me who will have a stomachache. I went out to get her water.

"Here's your Evian water. Drink your medicine now. It is getting late."

"Thank you." She took the water bottle and I watched her finish the medicine.

When she finished, she put the bottled water on the bedside with the medicine holder.

"Sleep well now, will you?" After I helped her lie down, I turned to go out. I was too sleepy and just wanted to sleep quickly. Before I could close the door she spoke.
