The Premier was appalled by what he was seeing. He was using all of his mental resources to convince himself that it was simply a mobile glitch, but after a minute he realized he was cut off from everything and that nothing could connect to the military. Even in the below-freezing temperatures, sweat could be seen on his forehead and his back quickly became damp.
The other reporters were all huddled together. They were all employed by the government and had all risen to their current positions as a result of their loyalty to and bootlicking for it. None of them had any actual on-the-ground journalism experience. Because the North Koreans were expected to take care of all their needs, visit the resort run by the dictatorship in the country's north and enjoy the females there as well, these reporters were only here for fun and a brief vacation.
But now that they had seen the dead guards, they were fervently hoping to make it through this experience.
"What do you want to do? Kill me? if you kill me and I don't contact my generals they will come after you all." Once more, the Premier threatened them.
"Kill you? If we wanted to kill you, we could have done that months ago. And you have been talking with me the entire time while I played Kim Jong un. Did you ever become suspicious of me." The woman steadily transformed into an obese man's body in a matter of seconds as she was speaking. Additionally, as the woman's face and hairline changed, the foreigners' shock at her increased.
The Premier found it hard to believe. He had been speaking with Kim Jong-un frequently during the previous few months, so he didn't even suspect for a split second that he was speaking with someone else. But the current reality shows otherwise.
Of course this woman was Sigret, but she had changed her face to a different one. Many of the people of the world had seen her face in the public appearance of LabCorp and Robin didn't want both of them to be taken in the same way. Though it would ultimately become apparent to people when they saw that the berries originated in their nation, he wanted to keep this a secret for as long as he could.
The Premier began to question whether his life's purpose still existed. Many long-serving leaders throughout the world fall victim to the illusion that they were the ones chosen to lead their nation into a new age. This had already occurred in numerous instances, including the Romanian dictator who ruled his nation in the cruelest manner imaginable. History is littered with stories of people who experienced the same thing.
The Premier was one of such individuals, having won the election a record-breaking third time. However, after witnessing something that defied the laws of nature, his worldview began to disintegrate. Since they had been following Sigret for a while and were aware of her abilities, the other members of the Brotherhood and the Ark who were standing behind her didn't react when she shifted.
Three floating automobiles soon arrived and touched down close by. When they saw the car, reporters and the Premier were even more shocked. The cars were enormous and appeared to have a lot of space. Typically, it resembled the majority of the futuristic vehicles shown in movies. Two men emerged when the middle car's door opened top to bottom like the ones on a Mercedes SLS AMG. The most distinguishing element of these two men was that they both wore masks that completely covered their faces. They both had business clothes on.
And both of them wore Joker masks. The same joker masks that the antagonists wore during the bank heist in Batman: The Dark Knight's opening scene. Only one person could be so dramatic and that was Robin.
He chose to take the cinematic route in order to maintain his anonymity, even compelling Sauvik to do so. As Robin and Sauvik came out wearing masks Sigret came forward with a smile while the rest stood straight and stiff showing their respect to the Supreme Commander, including the Ghost Corps.
"Our very first guest." stated Sigret. Robin nodded and looked at the Premier who looked pale and was on the ground on his knees looking at the masked man who commanded respect from the people around. He might have had his convictions and principles disproved, but in the end, he rose to the position of leadership through his own labor.
He was a farmer during his teenage years, thus he had also experienced difficult times. So, unlike people who frequently self-combusted after having their beliefs and philosophy trampled, he was still rational and capable of functioning.
"Welcome to Pyongyang. I am sorry that you received a bloody welcome. But then again it was your guards who threatened my Secretary. You can't expect us not to retaliate. Right?" said Robin. The Premier wiped sweat from his palm with his hand as he swallowed down and nodded.
"Please come along with me." As he motioned for them to enter the automobiles, Robin said. He was unaware of all the required protocol for diplomatic trips and didn't really care. All he needed to do was speak with them. The crowd soon split into three groups and boarded the cars. With the Ghost Corps following them.
These vehicles were futuristic and offered plenty of room for passengers to relax comfortably. The only difference here was that the automobile had more space. The other luxuries in the car was as basic as any other luxury car. The automobiles rose back to the surface and took off.
It was there the reporters and the Premier got a glance of the actual city as the car flew to the main building of the city which was named the Earth building. In order for this structure to function as the primary depiction of Earth's military and governments in the future, Robin gave it a fairly generic name. It was a very long shot but one could definitely dream.
The more people saw, the more amazed they became. One of the reporters finally mustered up the confidence to enquire after Sigret had traveled with them in one automobile.
"Are pictures permitted?"
"Of course. We brought you here for publicity. Make sure to share your photos with the media and every outlet when you return to China. You can publish articles as well. We won't control what you write as your country does. The good, the bad, and the ugly may all be written." stated Sigret. This had been the ideal of Robin as he didn't want to curb into dissent just because someone didn't comply with his views and ideas. Humanity was such a fantastic species because of its diversity of thoughts and beliefs. This world would not have advanced at all if everyone shared the same viewpoint.
Her statements stunned the reporters, but they kept quiet and began snapping shots out of the car windows instead. The city appeared stunning.
The Premier, Robin, and Sauvik were in the second car, where something else was going on. He became more serious and lost hope as he observed more riches and futuristic objects through the window. Seeing the city made him feel if the capital of the country was that futuristic, how powerful were it's armies were. Just a brief sight was all it took for him to become insane.
"Who are you?.. No.. What are you? I have never seen any country as advanced as this. Are you even humans?" Premier enquired finally.
"I can truthfully state that we are all human. Well, that woman you saw is an android who works for me. And the technology we have is not something humanity can even hope to achieve in the next 1000 years." Robin answered. That was the reality. Up to this point, the items he provided could only be described as ordinary. It would be a nightmare for the humans if he actually pulled out the heavy armaments from the Warhammer 40k games.
"Then why did you not use the so called technology to take over us and rule us?" Premier enquired.
"Not everyone thinks the same way as you. I'm not looking to rule. Only a fool would have a false sense of authority and consider controlling his countrymen. I could murder you with a wave of my hand even with all the resources and money in the world. Isn't that ironic?" said Robin. He became aware that he was this masked man's prisoner as a result of Robin's comments.
"Than what you want from me if you don't want to rule?" Premier enquired.
"Invite the other nations to visit us. Convince them and show them what you have seen here." said Robin.
