A chapter I guess?

He has always lived a life of pain anger and sadness ever since his parents died in a car crash when he was 6 years that left him as the only surviving person. He was later taken in by his father's brother who he loved as much as his father but it all changed two months after he started living with him and his wife.

It first started with the insults then the yelling for absolutely so few reasons. when those didn't work he moved to physical assaults like hitting him daily to locking him in the basement without food or water all because of some stupid inheritance, but he endured, James Willow endured everything till he couldn't anymore.

It happened on a rainy day when he saw a group of little kittens out in the rain beside their dead mother without anyone else to care for them he decided he would take care of them then and there. at least it's worth being a gift for my 16th birthday I guess, Happy birthday to me then' he thought with a small smile before picking up the kittens and heading back to his home to get to his room before his uncle got back from work.

When he arrived home, he immediately prepared a meal for himself and his newest family which they happily ate before they were taken for a nice warm shower then dried up making them look like adorable little puffballs. After taking care of the group of six.

he decided to pass the time with one of his greatest hobbies of all; comic books, especially the Marvel and DC comic groups who were also known as eternal loggerheads in the comic industry. He was currently hooked up on the green lantern franchise and the introduction of other spectrums in the War of Light. Sometimes he just wished to be able to wild any of the rings except the star sapphires which he didn't take a fancy to. But what he didn't expect was for his wish to be answered most uncannily and unbelievably. As he was reading up the battle between the red lanterns, Sinestro corps, and the green lanterns he just had the whimsical urge to brush his fingers across the page displaying a Sinestro corps ring blitzing into space. And by some miracle, his hand went through which made him sit upright scaring the can't in the process. Only wrist deep though but he felt something circular with a hole big enough for his little finger, so he held onto it like it was his lifeline before pulling it out.

After calming down a bit he decided to open his palm and to his greatest joy, there it rested in all its glory. Glowing an ethereal yellow that caused the release of minuscule amounts of cortisol and adrenaline but it was potent enough to make the cats on the other side of the room feel a sense of dread.

Saving all questions for later except one which was currently swimming in his mind; 'What the hell just happened'
