Rex Leanne handed the contract to Caroline Edwin, along with a pen, "Carol, I had a professional lawyer look at it. The contract is fine. Have a look again and if you think it's okay, go ahead and sign."
His face was full of eagerness, earnestly hoping she could sign this contract.

Caroline accepted the pen, flipped through the contract, and stylishly signed her name at the end of the last page.
Decisive and crisp, she didn't hesitate at all. It was incredibly refreshing.
After signing, she handed the contract and pen back to him, "That's it."
Rex held the pen tightly, his eyes filled with emotion, he sniffed, his fair face both happy and guilty.
Carol actually trusted his work ability so much; he would have to work doubly hard in the future.
If he had been more helpful before, she wouldn't have been so badly wronged.
