The car disappeared from sight.
Caroline Edwin walked back, heading to the playground where the enthusiastic students of Class 4 swarmed around her, chattering and asking questions.
"Teacher, are you angry that we didn't stay in the classroom to read?"
"We just wanted to see Moira Samir off, teacher. You're so magnanimous, you surely wouldn't blame us for not informing you beforehand, would you?"
"Benjamin Hood, what are you talking about? Our teacher is beautiful and has a great temperament. How could she possibly get angry over such a small matter?"

They went back and forth like this, creating a lively and harmonious atmosphere that drew curious and envious glances from students of other classes.
Lionel Grant stood in the crowd, not participating, watching them chirp away, his eyebrows slightly raised, a hint of a smile flashing in his eyes.
Every time they were exhausted from the teacher's challenges, they still inevitably enjoyed messing around with her.
