Chapter 26: Two Down, One To Go!

I teleported from Marcus' shop and went to the secret building in New Haven that can only be accessed while the quest to go to Trash Coast and receive the Vault Key is still active.

The door seemed to be open for some reason, but I ignored it since I had gotten the loot from the super secret Red Chest.

I think at one point in time only 4 or 5 people in the whole world actually knew about this secret chest, that was how well hidden this Easter Egg was for years!

And lucky me, I had gotten a Fire Hellfire and a 92% Sham Shield, kinda said it wasn't a 94% variant...but hey! Still better than nothing I suppose!

I left the secret building and made my way to the Rust Commons West region and then to the Rust Commons East as I made my way south.

While I was teleporting, I felt a sensation in my head and heard a familiar heavenly voice.

Angel: "You're very kind to have adopted her."

Raime: "I've been gone for a while and the first thing you wanted to ask me about was the brat?"

I stopped teleporting while in mid-air, making a fainting depression as gravity was pulling my body to the ground at rapid speeds.

Angel watched everything with a poker face, but as I was nearing the ground she got increasingly worried until she couldn't handle it anymore.

Angel: "OKAY I'M SORRY! QUICKLY TELEP-"

When I heard her apology I summoned Kaal and landed on his back, Kaal rotated his body and ran in the air, as magical platforms were created where his hooves stepped on.

Kaal soon descended to the ground after galloping in the air and once we touched the ground, I continued to ride him as I boisterously laughed aloud.

Many creatures and bandits heard me, but they couldn't do anything to me with the speeds that Kaal was travelling at.

Raime: "You know if you didn't apologise I would have really died from depression at being ignored by such a beauty as you."

Angel: "As if I believe that!"

Raime: "You mean what I said about you being beautiful isn't true? I don't believe that for a second."

(A/n I know she looks like a Goth/Emo, but check at end of the chapter for a new Angel picture of what she'll look like after Raime rescues her.)

Angel: "I-Uh-Oh! Where were you this whole time? I wasn't able to see you or get in contact with you."

Raime: "It's a long story."

Angel: "Better get started then."

As I was travelling to the South of Rust Commons East, I told Angel about what happened since I was attacked by Commandant Steele. I decided to reveal Steele's power to Angel since she must have already told Jack about it.

Telling Angel the truth will allow me to play Jack, or John as he is currently called, to falsely believe I completely trust Angel as is his plan.

After I finished narrating the events that transpired a while ago, including Luara's mother being killed by the Sandstalker, Angel began crying silently.

It would have gone unnoticed by anyone else, but I picked up on it since I was using my own Telepathy to feel her emotions and surface thoughts.

I needed to know if John/Jack had ordered her to say anything to me and if what she was saying is the truth and of her own free will.

I felt through the Siren Telepathy that she was pitying Laura for losing her mother and was proud of me for adopting her.

I guess she must have related Laura to herself in some way.

If Laura hadn't of gone out into the Static Storm to help the old man, then the door wouldn't have been open for the Sandstalker to send out its tail spike which killed her mother in the process.

Angel herself understands the guilt of her actions at having been unable to control her Siren Power at the time she was almost kidnapped, which resulted in Angel killing her own mother and the kidnapper at the same time by accident from her emotional outburst.

Angel: "Well, you better take good care of her Spectre."

Raime: "You mean "We", she is our child soon since I'll get married to you once I find you. After all, I am her Father and you are her Mother a-"

*sob* *sob*

Fuck! I forgot she still has PTSD from killing her mom.

?

That's strange.

She isn't sad I mentioned her being a mom because of her PTSD from killing her mother.

But I can sense she has feelings of extreme fear of me and what I might think of her being a Siren.

I can also feel she is afraid her power might go out of control, as it did when she had just acquired her power and thinks she might kill Laura or me.

That's nice and sad at the same time.

Until I reveal what I and Laura can do and that we will be safe even if she does harm us in some way by accident, she won't be able to get over this fear.

By the time I had been able to calm Angel down, I had reached my destination.

I tried asking Angel why she was sad to help her mental state, even though I already knew, but she ended up lying to me about it.

I didn't mind as I knew it might be because of her slave collar around her neck ensured that she doesn't reveal her Siren powers and background to anyone per John's orders.

I encountered many Spiderants, but they all perished under the onslaught of bullets I unleashed upon them.

After a while of riding on Kaal, travelling through many puddles of water and filth, I dismounted him and he vanished into particles of gold and purple.

Angel: "No! Don't go there! It's dangerous to go alone! Sto-"

I ignored Angel's pleas as I teleported to a small abandoned encampment upon a large, flat and barren ground the size of a football stadium.

In the centre was a hairy mound, but I didn't focus on it as I teleported off to the side.

I took out my Dark Saber and cut open a sealed doorway, upon entering I saw a chest which was surrounded by bones from various creatures.

I approached the chest and opened ut to reveal a lot of cash and the second piece of the Vault Key.

That's right, I am currently at the Trash Coast where the Vault Hunters would fight the Rakk Hive.

Like Hell, I am ready to fight the Raak Hive as I am now!

I reached over and grabbed the Vault Key, which I stored inside my Inventory and made my escape back to New Haven.

Angel was very pissed at me for having made her think I was going to fight the Rakk Hive alone.

But one thing I forgot about was to come up with a good excuse to lie on how I knew the Vault Key would be there, which she herself had constantly tried to interrogate me about.

Thank the Gods that she stopped her questioning for now since I had made it back to New Haven as quickly as possible.

But when I reached New Haven, I felt like I would drop dead at any second, which I did as I fell unconscious from having overused too much Siren Energy.

Fuck! They might remove my helmet and clothes! They'll know I'm a Siren!

Was my last thoughts as my vision went black and I saw only darkness.
