"H…how did you get it?" She gulped. He chuckled. "Come and get it, sweet. I don’t bite." Raziel narrowed her eyes. He was trying to trick her into opening the window. "It’s not that hard. Come on, I’ll give you your erotica," he assured, drawing on the last word. "It’s not erotica. You’re horrible at reassuring people." "And you’re a pro at hurting my ego." "Seriously?" "No." She glared at him and he smirked. Seems like she was no longer scared of his blazing golden eyes. Such a huge achievement. "I won’t hurt you, sweet, sweet, Raziel," he spoke out as he used his hands to tell her to come forward. Noticing the reluctance and doubt in her eyes, he shrugged his shoulders. "Fine, I’ll grant your request and leave," he said as he sauntered towards the railing of her balcony. He heard her panicked voice and her loud footsteps as she quickly tossed the blanket off her body and hurried to the window. Just as he saw her opening the balcony window, he smirked at her and leaped off the balcony. She released a horrified shout as expected. It was a five-floor drop after all. "C…come back!" She slightly whispered, dreading to wake her family or alert the guards. He turned a deaf ear to her. A hand was tucked into his pocket as he walked down the mansion with ease. His free hand swung the book as he walked. He kept walking and just as he had predicted, she uttered the word. Raziel panicked. She sprinted out of her bedroom, barefoot and with just her thin nightgown. The book wasn’t hers, it was May’s and she would fight with her if she found out that her book was missing and that she took it. She doesn’t want any quarrel with May and she has to take the book from him to avoid May’s wrath. Raziel ran outside and was welcomed by the chilly cold and the bright light of the moon. She sighted him walking away and she racked her brain for something to say. Yes, she now knew his name. She had seen it at the royal grandmother’s birthday party. She had forgotten his name until it was forced out of her. "Valhoon, please!"

If You're Cursed, Please Don't Rub It On Us

Raziel stared at him to put her down and he did. She panted, placing her hands on her knees and her chest rose and fell. She wasn't the one who carried someone but she was the exhausted one. That was so tiring. She stood up straight, stared around the forest and she sighed."What's wrong, did you change your mind?" Valhoon inquired.

"No, I did not. Thank you for bringing me here. I know my way to our cabin from here, so you can leave, but I'll be waiting for my reward," she answered and he sharply raised a brow.

"Why? You don't want me to follow you home?"

"N-no I don't. I already told you my mother doesn't like vampires and she'll chase you out, so you should leave." He chuckled and walked closer to her.

"You mean your mother would chase her superior out of her home? She should be beheaded."

"What are you saying? Is hating a particular race a crime in Daxtan? I don't think so and it's not as if you're his majesty," Raziel answered, looking a bit daring.

"You still don't believe it huh?"

"I told you I won't. Maybe if you finished granting my request, I might believe you."

" Such a foolish girl. Now, lead the way to your cabin," he ordered and her face crunched into a frown.

"I won't, I told you my mother won't let you in. Please leave, I don't want to upset my

family."

"I said, lead the way to your cabin girl," he repeated, staring at her with those blazing eyes knowing full well, what they do to her. She immediately flinched backward and agreed. "F-fine come without me," she stuttered turning to walk forward and Valhoon smirked as he walked with her. She's so interesting.

"What kind of a person is he?" Raziel thought. Who forces someone to show them their home? He's so overbearing.

She got to the cabin and turn to face him, using her eyes to plead with him so he would leave, but he only used his head and eyes to tell her to go inside. She hesitantly opened the wooden door and walked inside. Her eyes widened when she saw her mother sitting on the floor and crying, with her father and sisters trying to console her.

"Mo-mother," she called and their gaze darted to her. She looked behind her and when she didn't see the man who followed her there, she sighed. It's a good thing he left.

"Mother, why are you crying," she asked walking towards them. They stared at her from up to down in shock. Of course, they will, after all, she was wearing a pretty dress but they choose to ignore it and not ask questions about it. May stood up from the floor and walked to Raziel in anger.

"Where have you been Raziel?" she asked.

"Can't you stop being worthless? Look at the state mother is right now, she hasn't eaten for three days and it's all your fault again. Now I'm starting to think you're cursed since you can't do anything right and you only end up making people cry. If you're cursed please don't rub it on us, so we won't become cursed like...."

"MAY," their father yelled, standing up on his feet.

"Not this time father, I see no reason why you always side with her. Even when she tried to commit side and we ended up here, you still sided with her," May rebuked, raising her hands in the air. "Can't you see she's the cause of our misfortunes? Why don't you ask her where she has been for these three days and she suddenly returned looking like this."

"Don't try to put all the blames on poor Raziel, May. You also contributed to the misfortune of us being here," Maxwell said. "How?"

"I didn't want to say this before but I know what you did and stop pushing all the blame on Raziel when you know what you did was wrong. Back then when she slit her wrist, didn't you go about, telling everyone how your sister tried to commit suicide? I know you didn't do it on purpose, but you contributed too," he answered.

"Father, May, it's okay. Please don't stress mum the more," Jaria intervened and with the mention of their mother, everywhere grew silent again.

Raziel ignored her sister and walked to their mother. Although May's word struck her, she wasn't going to cry, at least not today. She squatted and pulled her mother into a hug, patting her back gently.

"Mum it's fine. I'm here now, stop crying," she consoled, using her hands to wipe Rachel's tears. Once again it was all her fault for making her mother cry. But she was soon going to atone for her sins. She just hope the purple man was truly the king and he will grant her request so she can finally give her family what belongs to them. "Where have you been Raziel? Do you know how worried I was?" Rachel asked between sobs.

"I'm sorry mother, I promise I will never leave your side again."

"Are you hurt anywhere?" Her mother asked, pulling away from the hug and examining her body, searching for any possible injury.

"I'm fine mother, you shouldn't be worried about me."

"Why shouldn't I, you silly girl? You can't cast any spell, so how would I not be worried?"

"Mum, if that's the case then I'm ready to learn the spells," Raziel said. She didn't want to tell her mother that she cast a spell when those vampires were on their trail, as that will make her worry more.

"What? You'll learn the spells?" Rachel asked in disbelief but before any of them could say anything, someone walked into the cabin causing their eyes to widen.

Valhoon walked into the cramped cabin with his hands crossed on his back and with the golden stick on one. He raised his head, staring at the wooden ceiling to the floor and then back at the people who were looking at him in confusion. Well, he has been outside listening to their drama and it amazed him how the girl was being insulted by her sister but couldn't say anything to defend herself. He stared around again and sighed. This place looks as if a whole village lives in it. Different belongings were scattered everywhere and the cabin looks as if it hasn't been cleaned for a year.

Sigh!
