"H…how did you get it?" She gulped. He chuckled. "Come and get it, sweet. I don’t bite." Raziel narrowed her eyes. He was trying to trick her into opening the window. "It’s not that hard. Come on, I’ll give you your erotica," he assured, drawing on the last word. "It’s not erotica. You’re horrible at reassuring people." "And you’re a pro at hurting my ego." "Seriously?" "No." She glared at him and he smirked. Seems like she was no longer scared of his blazing golden eyes. Such a huge achievement. "I won’t hurt you, sweet, sweet, Raziel," he spoke out as he used his hands to tell her to come forward. Noticing the reluctance and doubt in her eyes, he shrugged his shoulders. "Fine, I’ll grant your request and leave," he said as he sauntered towards the railing of her balcony. He heard her panicked voice and her loud footsteps as she quickly tossed the blanket off her body and hurried to the window. Just as he saw her opening the balcony window, he smirked at her and leaped off the balcony. She released a horrified shout as expected. It was a five-floor drop after all. "C…come back!" She slightly whispered, dreading to wake her family or alert the guards. He turned a deaf ear to her. A hand was tucked into his pocket as he walked down the mansion with ease. His free hand swung the book as he walked. He kept walking and just as he had predicted, she uttered the word. Raziel panicked. She sprinted out of her bedroom, barefoot and with just her thin nightgown. The book wasn’t hers, it was May’s and she would fight with her if she found out that her book was missing and that she took it. She doesn’t want any quarrel with May and she has to take the book from him to avoid May’s wrath. Raziel ran outside and was welcomed by the chilly cold and the bright light of the moon. She sighted him walking away and she racked her brain for something to say. Yes, she now knew his name. She had seen it at the royal grandmother’s birthday party. She had forgotten his name until it was forced out of her. "Valhoon, please!"

He's A Vampire?

Raziel turned her back to the cabin and started walking in the opposite direction. She should go check on her pets and feed them in her hidden cave.

"Why won't they leave me alone? I hate learning those spells, it's so tiring," she said loudly, shuffling her foot as she walks alone.

"Mother always says it's for protection, protection, protection, protection from who or what exactly? Learning those spells are time consuming. I'll rather spend that time finding doves and daydreaming or learning sword fight, than those silly spells. And she keeps comparing me to my sisters. I don't care what she says but I'm not going to learn those spells," she complained, swinging her hands.

She reached the cave, walked inside, and lit a lantern making the cave bright.

"Oh, my doves are hungry," she muttered bending, putting her hands in the cage, and patting one of the doves on its head.

"I'll go get water."

She came outside, walked to the lake behind the hut, and bent down to take water into a bowl. As she bent down, her skirt touched the water and the bottom part got soaked.

"Ohh, my skirt got wet." She turned to walk into the cave, wiping her skirt with one hand and holding the bowl with the other.

"Hey, who are you?" She inquired the purple man who was staggering towards her. What was she going to do? No, she can't run away. What if he steals her pets?

"Don't come any closer purple man," Raziel yelled and ran to drop the bowl of water, before turning back to him, only to find him on the ground. She picked a small stick and walked towards the man in slow strides.

"I never knew apart from black and white, there are also purple people in the world," she said poking his chest with the stick.

"You get up."

She squatted and stared at his face. It was purple and bruised. Ahh, it looks like he was poisoned. During their stay in this forest, her mother has taught her things like this and what it looks like. Her mind was in chaos. What if he was a criminal? What if he's not? But she always takes care of injured doves and birds, so why can't she save him too? She rushed back to the cave and rolled the stone away and ran back to him.

Raziel held his shoulder to raise him but she landed on her butt. Ugh, why is he so heavy? She muttered rubbing her butt. She tried again, raising him to his feet and wrapping his arms on her shoulder as she helped him into the cave. Luckily, there was a wooden bed there and she dropped him on it. What's this half stick he's clenching tightly? She thought and she took it from his hands, placing it on the floor.

Going outside the cave, she looked for some herbs and quickly dropped water into it and squeezed it into a ball. She walked back into the cave and pulled his shirt off. She stared at his pant, contemplating whether to pull it off or not

His whole body was purple and she has to pull it off so she could apply the herbs to his legs too. After some minutes of fighting with herself, she closed her eyes and pulled out his pants. She opened one eye and thank goodness he was wearing underpants.

Raziel picked the herbs from the other bowl, pressed some into his mouth, and use the other to rub his body.

"All done," she sighed, cleaning the herbs from her forehead and wearing back his clothes. "Ahh it's late, mother would scold me," she said running out of the cave and heading home.

Getting to their cabin, she found her sisters standing beside the door, obviously waiting for her.

"Where have you been all day Raziel?" May asked.

"I went to pick some food from the farm," Raziel lied.

"Oh really, we're just coming from there but we didn't find you and where are the foods you went to pick?" The other girl, Jaria asked.

"I can't believe you guys have started nagging at me just like mum. May, and Jaria, you too?"

"Why won't we nag at you? After all, you're the cause of our problems and why we're living in this shabby place. If it weren't for you, then I would be wearing beautiful clothes by now," May said.

"Ok fine, I admit I am. Now, you two stop scolding me already. I only went for a walk, that's all," Raziel answered trying to walk into the cabin but they blocked her way.

"This better not happen again else... You know what will happen. We'll lock you up in the room and cast a spell so you can't escape. Not like you can even cast a single spell, hmph," Jaria warned and her face darkened. She watched as they both entered the cabin and she followed behind, deciding not to say anything.

.......

The next day, Raziel sneaked out of the cabin and walked to the cave. This is still sleeping. Why is he not waking up yet or did he die when she left? No, he can't die. What would she tell her mother, that someone died in her hidden cave? Or maybe she should just throw his body into the lake. She walked towards the wooden bed where the man was lying and sat on the little space left. His skin has returned to normal and his face isn't pale anymore, so why hasn't he woken up?

She cringed her face as the stench of herbs filled the cave. She should go dip a cloth in water and clean this place. She stood up from the wooden bed but her hands were suddenly grabbed, causing her to sit back. She turned her head to the side and met with a pair of golden eyes.

Wait. Why was he staring at her like food?

"Y...you I'll...."

Before she could complete her sentence, she felt a sharp needle prick her neck hard.

He's a vampire?
