"H…how did you get it?" She gulped. He chuckled. "Come and get it, sweet. I don’t bite." Raziel narrowed her eyes. He was trying to trick her into opening the window. "It’s not that hard. Come on, I’ll give you your erotica," he assured, drawing on the last word. "It’s not erotica. You’re horrible at reassuring people." "And you’re a pro at hurting my ego." "Seriously?" "No." She glared at him and he smirked. Seems like she was no longer scared of his blazing golden eyes. Such a huge achievement. "I won’t hurt you, sweet, sweet, Raziel," he spoke out as he used his hands to tell her to come forward. Noticing the reluctance and doubt in her eyes, he shrugged his shoulders. "Fine, I’ll grant your request and leave," he said as he sauntered towards the railing of her balcony. He heard her panicked voice and her loud footsteps as she quickly tossed the blanket off her body and hurried to the window. Just as he saw her opening the balcony window, he smirked at her and leaped off the balcony. She released a horrified shout as expected. It was a five-floor drop after all. "C…come back!" She slightly whispered, dreading to wake her family or alert the guards. He turned a deaf ear to her. A hand was tucked into his pocket as he walked down the mansion with ease. His free hand swung the book as he walked. He kept walking and just as he had predicted, she uttered the word. Raziel panicked. She sprinted out of her bedroom, barefoot and with just her thin nightgown. The book wasn’t hers, it was May’s and she would fight with her if she found out that her book was missing and that she took it. She doesn’t want any quarrel with May and she has to take the book from him to avoid May’s wrath. Raziel ran outside and was welcomed by the chilly cold and the bright light of the moon. She sighted him walking away and she racked her brain for something to say. Yes, she now knew his name. She had seen it at the royal grandmother’s birthday party. She had forgotten his name until it was forced out of her. "Valhoon, please!"

Allergic To Walnuts

Raziel's eyes widened. May was going to read some books and that means she might count her books and see that one was missing. Gosh. Hell would be let loose if that happens. She just prays May doesn't count them today.

Raziel saw her mother turn to the seamstress and smiled at her in embarrassment. It was understandable. Who wouldn't be embarrassed? Having their children scream at each other like banshees in front of their guests. Her mother would surely deal with them after all this.

"Hmm, seamstress, sorry for the inconvenience. They are kids and you know kids have misunderstandings all the time. I'm sorry for making you watch my children disrespect you. I promise I'll discipline them for this," Rachel apologized.

"Oh no, Mrs. Crayon. I understand vividly. I also have kids and I know how much they fight with each other. Mine fight like cats and rats. Haha. The funniest thing is that they'll reconcile before you even know it and start playing again," the seamstress replied and they both burst into laughter.

"I tell you. May and Raziel are always like that. Fighting and yelling at each other like banshees but in the next hour, they'll start talking again as if nothing happened. It gets me annoyed sometimes. I sometimes reasoned that was why I had a difficult pregnancy. They were fighting in my tummy," Rachel laughed and the seamstress soon joined her as they laughed hard for a long time.

Raziel watched as they both kept talking as if she wasn't there at all. She should leave them to discuss and maybe her mum would have a change of mind about disciplining them. She simply got up and climbed the stairs back to her room. She hasn't seen Rani today. She wondered what was wrong. Maybe she should go check up on her.

...…

Knock knock!

Raziel knocked on Rani's door. No answer.

She has looked for Rani everywhere. She was supposed to be either in the kitchen or in the garden but she couldn't find her anywhere. Now she was knocking at her door but there was no answer.

Knock knock!

She knocked again but all she received was silence. She placed her hands on her waist in confusion before opening the door and walking in.

"Rani?" She called looking around the room. Her eyes widened when she found Rani lying like a log on the bed. She walked closer and stared at her face. Her face was pale and she noticed that she was shivering, obviously from the cold as she kept burying herself in the blanket.

Raziel bent and touched Rani's forehead. She quickly retracted her hands and her mouth fell open in shock.

"Oh my God, Rani is burning," she exclaimed.

"Rani, Rani, get up. What's wrong with you?" she asked as she sat on the edge of the bed and placed Rani's head on her lap.

"I…I think I'm going to die, Raziel. My stomach hurt a lot," Rani said in a shaky voice. Her whole body was trembling and her stomach was tightening as if it wanted to join all her organs together.

"Shut up, Rani. Don't say things like that. You're not going to die. You're having a fever. When did this start?"

"This morning a…after I finish eating walnuts," Rani answered, her voice barely audible.

"Walnuts? You ate walnuts? Aren't you allergic to it? Who gave you, tell me," Raziel asked. Rani was allergic to walnuts and doesn't even go close to them. So what happened? She knew that Rani would never eat walnuts on her own and that was why she asked who gave them to her.

"Who gave you walnuts Rani? tell me, don't be scared, okay?"

"L-lady May did."

"What? May knows you're allergic to walnuts. Why did she give it to you?" Rachel furiously asked.

"She said it's to punish me for waking up l-late. Ahhh, my stomach hurts a lot Raziel," Rani cried and Raziel quickly patted her face and apologized.

"Sorry sorry. It's going to be okay. Don't talk anymore. How could May do this to you? I'm coming," Raziel said, standing up from the bed and placing Rani's head back on the pillow. She tried to leave but Rani hurriedly held her hands.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to give May an ear full. She must face my wrath today."

"Don't do that, Raziel. Don't fight with your sister because of me. I'm going to be alright."

"Don't tell me that. She gave you walnuts. I'm going to teach her a lesson. She thinks she can do whatever she likes and no one would scold her." Raziel hollered.

"Please don't fight with her. Please for my sake, don't," Rani pleaded.

"Okay, fine. But I'll go tell mum to call the doctor, okay? Just wait here," she said, releasing her hands from Rani's grip and running out of the room.

She climbed down the stairs and ran to her mother who was sitting alone in the sitting room. Looks like the seamstress left already.

"Mum, mum," Raziel called as she stopped in front of her mother and breathed loudly.

Her mother quickly stood up in concern and asked.

"What's pursuing you? Why are you panicking?"

"M-mum, mum. Rani… She's sick. Her body is burning. Please call the doctor for her, please," Raziel pleaded.

"What's wrong with her? She was fine this morning."

"It's that May. I'm going to give her an ear full. She gave Rani walnuts as a punishment for waking up late."

"What? Oh my goodness. May did that?" Rachel asked, her hands flew to her mouth in shock. Everyone knew Rani was allergic to it but May still went ahead and gave it to her. Goodness, what was she going to do?

"Yes mother, May gave her walnuts. Please, Rani is very sick. Call the doctor."

"Yes, yes. I'll do that now," she said and quickly picked up her phone to call the doctor.

"I'll go look after Rani," Raziel said and went back upstairs to Rani's room.
