Chapter 48: Chapter Forty-Eight

*Brielle’s POV*

The day is a bright one, which does not suit me in the slightest. Graveyards do not need to be bright and sunny places. I am not saying they need to be places of lightening storms, doom and gloom raining down from the sky at every waking moment, but a day that is bright and sunny is less than desirable.

Death is not a beautiful, clean thing. It is not clean cut yards where family and friends are left beneath the ground to slowly return to the earth. It is not beautiful flowers and trinkets left behind at stones with their names immortalized into them. It is not a place of comfort where you can magically speak to them and then they hear you. You do not have to be there at that little grey stone carved into various shapes for them to hear you in the land beyond the veil.

At least, death is not this thing for me.
