Resolution

TIMESKIP (2 DAYS)

As the spring season approached, Team Z celebrated winning against Team Y in their room.

Everyone sat on the floor and stared at a nearby stool in the center of the room, as a fairly tall player with dark brown hair put down 2 24oz of medium well steak.

Kuon: "To commemorate Team Z's second game. Cheers!"

Everyone instantly cut themselves a piece of meat and they began to converse with one another.

Kuon: "There are plenty more dishes to try besides the steak!"

Kuon began passing around dishes to every corner of the room as Bachira, Isagi, and a muscular orange haired high schooler sat a ways away from everybody else.

Isagi: "Kunigami, I figured that my goal scent might just be my weapon, but it doesn't sound very good for a striker."

Bachira came around Isagi after he finished his sentence and playfully shoved food down his mouth.

With full stomachs, everyone began passing out, one after the other. But that night Jinpachi and Anri showed off the current standings of Blue Lock's fifth stratum as of game 4.

Anri: "With an 8 goal difference Tean V leads the fifth stratum. In second place Team X, with a 4 goal difference. In the Dead Zone we have in order Team W, Team Z, and finally Team Y."

Jinpachi Ego: "With that Day 8 of Blue Lock has concluded, get your rest and prepare for your 3rd match in 2 days."

(THE NEXT DAY)

In Team Z's training field, everyone began working on their own weapons until the training room TV flickered on showing Jinpachi Ego finishing leftover ramen.

Jinpachi Ego: "Good afternoon, you unpolished gems. This stratum's fifth and sixth match has just ended. Look towards the screen for the result of both matches."

Everyone diverted their attention towards the score of both games.

Match 5 was Team V with 2 goals and Team W with 2 goals resulting in Team W and Team V's first tie putting Team W at the second lowest position, right above Team Y.

Match 6 was Team X with 2 goals and Team Y with 3 goals resulting in Team Y's first victory in 3 matches.

After everyone understood where Team Z stood in the ranking's the TV flickered over to a whole new screen showing a 24 hour countdown until Team Z vs Team W fought.

Across the fifth stratum, Sho got up from his medical bed for the third time today and took a stroll around Team W's facility. It seemed like a ghost town from the lack of people anywhere but Sho didn't mind it as he went straight to the monitoring room.

On his way to the monitoring room, Sho found a few televisions on, broadcasting the current ranking of everyone on Team W and where Team W is in terms of ranking in all of the fifth stratum.

In player ranking Sho stood at a draw for 2nd place. 1st place had 3 goals to his name, while the other tied with Sho for 2 goals. In the team rankings Team W ranked

In the monitoring room, Sho sat in the center of the room and watched all of Team W's recent defeat and tie, even a few other games from other teams.

After watching an old match, everybody from Team W came into the monitoring room drenched in sweat, eagerly sitting down beside him.

Random Short Team W Player: "I told Junichi off, Shihoin-san. I'm pretty sure this next game against Team Z will be our last as a team unless a miracle happens and Team Z loses against us and Team V."

Sho surprisingly turned around after his explanation and got right to work, pulling up a nearby whiteboard and began explaining useful formations and a way to attack Team Z.

Sho: " If we position 3 people here, I'd be able to easily control the field with my Spatial Awareness, and with Junichi's passing we can keep rotating until we get near the goal. We can eve-"

Gentle knocking sounds were heard from the other side of the steel sliding door interrupting Sho. Junichi was closest to the door so he slid it open, revealing a female nurse in her uniform.

Nurse Lady: "Can I speak with Sho for just a second?"

Before Sho walked out of the room he pointed out his plan of attack and let Junichi take over their meeting.

Sho: "I thought I was fine? I don't feel any pain anywhere, I honestly haven't felt this great in a while."

Nurse: "Ohh your fine, I was just sent here to let you know that the doctor talked to Jinpachi and unfortunately couldn't refund your bed for 5 points. So you're stuck with 2 points."

Sho: "Well thanks for letting me know, I think I'll be fine anyway. I just need to make 2 goals to get back my title as Team W's Top Striker."

The nurse politely left after their meeting, leaving Sho to go back into Team W's meeting and finish their plan of attack.

Across the stratum, All of Team Z looked on at a projection of Junichi and Sho's face. Bachira yawned and groggily rubbed his eyes until he recognized Sho and energetically got up, calling him out in front of everybody.

Isagi: "Is this the guy you were talking about before Bachira? Since you've played with him, you should know his weakness, so tell us. We've only seen him play one game against Team Y.

Bachira: "Well, the only real weakness I can think of right now is that he doesn't like to pass. He's only ever passed to me a handful of times in our years of playing together."

Naruhaya: "You're telling me he's only passed to you like 10 times since you were kids?"

Bachira nodded in Naruhaya's direction as he went back to lying down with his eyes closed.

As their meeting progressed, Chigiri grimaced looking at Junichi's eyes. As he left early, he spoke under his breath and softly touched his knee.

Chigiri: "I can never get away from you guys can I?"

TIMESKIP (NEXT DAY)

Both teams lined up on their side of the field as they began sizing each other up. On Team W's side Junichi glimpsed towards Chigiri's direction and whispered into Sho's ear.

Junichi: "Sho, that guy with reddish pink hair is Chigiri, he was my teammate from my school club. In the past he was really fast but had a bad accident so now he has a glass knee."

Sho wrote this down in his mind as he glimpsed towards Chigiri. Before he could respond to Junichi a recognizable voice shouted from Team Z's side.

Bachira: "Sho!"

Sho recognized that voice and locked eyes with Bachira as he grinned back at him and waved his hand.

After everyone finished their observations, they got in their positions as Junichi kicked the ball off towards Sho.

Sho stood unmoving as the ball approached him and simply grinned in Bachira's direction as he whispered under his breath.

Sho: "Surprise me."
