Chapter 7: Ladies man

The next day of school Rex woke up early, he could barely sleep as he didn't feel tired at all, he also noticed a few things, first and most importantly was that human food gave him energy points but it was very little, a plate of food gave him only a single point no matter the quantity, he hadn't eaten any meat yet so he still had that to try out, the second thing he noticed was not only did his senses improve but his body as well, he was far more flexible and agile that before, stronger and faster too, he guessed the stat points weren't just for show.

Waking up early he joined Becky in the kitchen which surprised her, he had been mourning his parents for so long but now he seemed cheerful, after making breakfast he rushed to get dressed. he took his dinner early and was about heading out when Becky called for him. She suddenly hugged him surprising Rex a bit.

" I know we aren't like your real family but I want you to treat us like you would your real one, your welcome to live with us for as long as you want and I promise to help you with whatever you need, I'm here for you no matter what ok".

This touched Rex coursing him to embrace her tightly, when he lost his parents he thought he was all alone, sure he was staying with Becky and her daughter but he didn't have any connections to them at all, to him they where still strangers, friends of his parents that decided to take him in from the relationship with his parents, little did he know that Becky was now his legal guardian taking full responsibility of him.

(Even if it's not a real family, I'll treat it like it was my own blood family and this time I'll protect them no matter what) he thought to himself, suddenly a screen appeared before him

While all this was going on, Becky was enjoying the hug a little too much, (his arms are so big and strong, and his chest is so firm, I didn't notice it before but his body is so buffed, I can feel his abs so we'll, it's been so long since I felt this sensation, the warm of being held by a man, I feel so comfortable and protected). suddenly Rex's words snapped her out of her daydreaming.

"Do you really promise to be there for me?"

"huh? oh uh yes yes of course" she said leaning back a little, "I promise you Rex you'll never be alone again, I'll always be there for you" she said looking deep in his eyes." Then I promise to do the same for you, whatever you need help with, no matter what, I'll help you" he said with a serious look in his eyes.

This made Becky blush a bit but she brushed it off and smiled," silly boy your still a high school kid what can you possibly help me with" she said but Rex gave her a steen response.

"I mean it, I'll always be there for you too"

This made Becky blush as she stared into his eyes, (is he serious? can I really depend on him?) she thought, meanwhile Rex's mind was on something else, thinking of the stranger that killed his family could still be looking for him for whatever reason, if he was found then that ment Ms Roselle and Stephanie would be in danger.

he hugged Becky tightly again and said to himself, (this time I'll protect them )

Meanwhile Becky was battling with herself, her urges where slowly coming out as she felt her loneliness could go away with Rex around, the urge, the need for a man in her life was making her heart beat fast as Rex hugged her tightly again, burying her head in his shoulder she caught a whiff of his cent and she felt hot on the inside, (what am I doing, I can't be turned on by this kid, has it really been that long since I felt the warm embrace of a man?)

While they had they little moment Stephanie came down from the stares and interrupted them.

"what's going on here?" she said making them seperated from each other

"oh honey your awake, breakfast is ready" her mother said

"yh but what was that "she asked

"some family bonding her "mother replied

"really then why are you smiling like that and your cheeks are red"

"oh are they" she said fainting ignorance meanwhile she couldn't stop thinking how her heart was racing, she hadn't felt like this in a long while, the last time she felt this was when she was still dating her husband.

While the mother and daughter went to have breakfast rex used this period to go to school but not through the normal root.

(I can get use to this) he thought as he scaled a wall and jumped from roof top to roof top, jumping high he landed at the center of the part startling a couple who where about kissing.

"sorry!" he yelled as we continued running to school.

School had yet to start but most of the students had arrived and among them was Helen, she was a little surprised to see Rex sitting alone resting his head, she went to her sit and he sprung up greetings her

"ahh! oh, you startled me"

"sorry"

"here" she said giving him the books he left

"you forgot this yesterday"

"oh thanks"

"where did you run off too"

"I'm staying with Stephanie, she said if I kept her waiting she would lock me outside"

"wait your staying with Stephanie? like living together" she asked

"yh oh I wasn't suppose to say that, can you keep it a secret" he said with his hands together

(just like yesterday, it seems he doesn't like people finding out about his life) she thought

"sure I can keep it"

"that makes two secrets between us" he said

Just then Rita came to his seat

"Hey Rex, morning, I think we got off at the wrong foot, I'm Rita nice to meet you" she said

Rex looked at her then wet back to resting his head, this made Helen giggle a little and a vein popped up on Rita's head

"he did it again" a boy said

how is he doing that, it's impossible

he ignored her again? is he even human

Before Rita could say anything the teacher walked in, alright people settle down it's time for class, everybody went to they're seats, Rita sat down but turned around to glare at Rex one last time while Helen looked at him with interest.

"your a strange guy, very strange" she said as a little smile appeared on her face.
