The little girl's unanticipated actions made Lee Shira stunned. His body stiffened; frozen the whole time, especially when she suddenly kissed him on his lips.
Lee Shira didn't know how to react. Both of his hands are still on the little girl's body, the same place when he carried her. But his face remained expressionless.
Watching Lee Shira's obviously not used to watch over a child, Mei Joan smiled as she speaks. "She seemed to be charmed by you. I'm sure your wife will feel excited once both of you have your own."
With her claims, Lee Shira's face remained expressionless while he glanced at Mei Joan before turning his head to look at Aryen who has a stunned expression.
Thinking about having their own child, Lee Shira's eyes fell on Aryen's belly, but he frowned when the little girl suddenly tightened her embrace, almost made him hard to breath.
"You should start learning now." Mei Joan teasingly said. She can't help but chuckle while looking at Lee Shira who's staring at his wife like he wanted to complain.
"It is still different if you know how to look after a child aside from having a nanny." Mei Joan added and there was a delightful smile on her lips. "Just a mother's advised Mr Lee."
Lee Shira: "..."
Mei Joan turned around and went back to Aryen, leaving the little girl with Lee Shira who still did not move a muscle since the child leaned on him.
As for Aryen, she was stunned while watching the little girl and his husband. At first, Aryen was nervous and suspecting that Lee Shira was her daughter's father after watching the scene where the little girl came to him.
However, she recalled Lee Shira's words about being an object to have a child; it wouldn't make any sense if he was the little girl's father. He wouldn't need her if that was the case.
Watching her husband not moving, Aryen crossed her arms on her chest and wanted to laugh. A mocking smile appeared on her lips while watching Lee Shira's unfortunate situation.
But that smile didn't take too long and changed in disbelief when Lee Shira finally raised his hand to hold the child while supporting her back with gentleness.
Aryen: "..." Is there something that he cannot do?!
Aeyen was dumbfounded. She arched her brows but also twitched her lips. Who would ever believe that the known fierce monster actually knows how to hold a child.
Seeing Aryen watching her husband with amazement, Mei Joan suddenly whispered. "Your husband seems to know what his doing. At first I thought he needed help, but its not the case. You must be excited to have your own." she teasingly said.
Aryen: "..."
Aryen came back to her senses while her cheeks began blushing. She tried to change the topic and forced to smile as she looked at Mei Joan. "She looks adorable.. How old is she?"
Mei Joan smiled, thinking that Aryen is really fond of children. "I know she looked around two. But she's only turning one. She's growing fast.." she uttered, but her voice sounded nervous.
Aryen: "..." Turning one? She really looked around two.
Aryen was shocked after finding out about the child's actual age, she thought for a second and suspected that the little girl's unusual features and height is no doubt the effect after being involved with the lab.
But she slightly narrowed her eyes after noticing the sudden changes on her Mrs Mei's tone. Mei Joan is her mother, Aryen can clearly noticed that she is hiding something about the child.
With her suspicion, Aryen used a surprise looked on her face while she speaks. "She's so big for that age.. She can even walk properly.. I really thought she was around two or three.."
Aryen did not lie with her words, but she tried for her voice to sound in amazement, despite knowing the possibilities.
