She Did Not Need Saving

"They were all now vampires!" 

"Shut up! If someone would hear you—" 

The wind howled and the three stared at each other in the dead silence of the night. Martian was intrigued by the terror that the two women were now wearing in their eyes. Their small bodies were shivering and it was not because of the cold. 

He heaved a deep sigh and turned around. 

"Where are you going?" The younger cousin asked in fear.

"Do not leave us here to be eaten by those monsters," she hissed in between her chattering teeth. 

"I will not leave. I will just get some more logs to start another fire," he said and he meant it. He knew that there were a lot of things that he had to hear from them and they would not leave now or try to lie to him because he had realized that the three of them did not have a solid idea of what happened.
