Iris had the passenger seat reclined all the way down, she was almost lying on her back instead of sitting down, and she was bundle up in her oversized sweatshirt. She was quite comfortable in her position, her seatbelt was buckled tightly, while her backpack was on her feet together with the bag of snacks that she took from the penthouse.
She had enough snacks but she didn't have an appetite. She just stared blankly outside as the car sped up to their destination. She could mostly just see the sky illuminated by the night lights from establishment they passed. Night had fallen since they left the penthouse in a hurry and without talking to each other until now.
Mariano glanced at her every now and then but he didn't say anything.
When he got up after Talon had left the premises of the building, Iris was shocked to find him unscathed and totally fine like Talon didn't put him out and kicked on the floor while he was unconscious.
