The Race

"I... Hate... You!"

This was what X's brain had come up with after a swift train of thoughts, this was what she could at least conclude with before she blacked out.

Seeing as she had blacked out, Tang Zhan who was about to sink his fangs into her neck stopped and unexpectedly he became dejected, his expression one of sadness. He then dropped X gently on the ground while looking at his hands.

He was confused and shocked, he placed his hands on the wall and pushed slightly. Banjo and Yufei still kept their eyes trained on him, and as hey saw him put his right hand on the wall and push, they expected him to remove his hand after unsuccessfully doing what he wanted to, but never in their wildest dreams would they expect to see the whole side of the building blast off like a balloon that was popped.

"What, the, Hell... Is that?" They both said together.

Tang Zhan brows raised high up like he just had a sudden realization. "Me... Strong?" His current condition seems to have made him incapable of making full sentences, but his full thoughts were.

'If me strong... Her neck hold... Weak... Break... No!' He didn't realize it until now, he was too strong and his new strength was so sudden that when he held X's neck, he had only felt like he held it softly but that softly was more than enough to kill her.

He instantly knelt close to her, brought out a healing potion as poured it down her throat. Within seconds her bruised throat showed signs of reversing and before he knew it, there was nothing physical to show fir her previous maltreatment.

X's eyelashes fluttered a bit before her eyes blinked open. She blinked sluggishly a dew more times before her eyes suddenly shot open.

"Aahhh!" She crawled back swiftly as she held her head between her knees with her hand above her head. "I- I'm sorry, please don- don- don't kill me I won't try it again ... In fact I'll leave ... Please spare me."

She waited a few but when she didn't receive anymore attacks or hits, she looked up only to find it he was gone, no longer before her.

Yufei and Banjo ran up to her as they assisted her up. Just by holding her hand both of them could feel her erratic pulse from her wrist.

Yufei looked up and shared an eye contact with Banjo, then they both nodded accordingly and led her back inside her room where Yufei stayed with her until she slept.

What came over me, Why did I do what I did, what was that that took over me. I felt... Primal. Untamed. Wild. Invulnerable.

No that's still what I was talking about, something else came up something from my heart, I called her something, my something. What did I call her, I couldn't remember.

All I knew was I wanted her, every inch and corner of her I wanted it. No no no, what am I thinking.

Could I possibly? No! Then what was it ?... Oh yes the system can tell.

"Status window!" I called and the all familiar holographic panel appeared before me.

"Okay something is definitely up... But what is an 'Ancient' supposed to be? And am I fading out because of it is awakening or something like that? Considering how I'm no longer considered a human, but isn't my mum supposed to be a phoenix not... an 'Ancient' and ... My father " I thought and I must be correct.

I know my mother and siblings but not my father, mother didn't say anything about hi-... Ohhhh, she did.

"I see that you have awoken ours and your father's bloodline~, keep it up and when you get stronger come back home to the peak realm~, we'll all be waiting for you and your father's return~, goodbye for now son~"

"She said they will be awaiting I and father's return, so father has a different bloodline, and he also isn't around, runaway father and son."

I lied down on my bed to get some quality sleep, lest all the thinking I've done damages or breaks me.

After few hours in the unusually moody and silent Tang mansion, the current residents all got a notification flashing in their system panels at the same time.

Tang Zhan woke up with a start, after reading the panel a few times to know if he was seeing g the right things, he ran downstairs to meet the rest.

Yufei , Banjo and X all met the eyes of Tang Zhan as he descended the stairs. Banjo swallowed saliva as he immediately sensed a choking tension descend into the room.

Yufei protectively moved in front of X, who had her head down nervously. Yufei knows even if her brother wanted to hurt X, he wouldn't hurt her.

"Brother about what happened then-"

"We don't have time for that now, everyone pack every necessary belonging, we are leaving now. Meet me outside once you're done." Tang Zhan cut her off and without sparing time to look at X, he walked out the the door.

Yufei shook her head whilst X closed her eyes tightly, like she suddenly remembered a painful memory.

After all of their packing, they stuffed their things into their inventories, and went outside into the compound like Tang Zhan ordered.

They got outside only to see an empty compound with only the dealer's shop being the only remaining thing left.

"Where di-"

Before Yufei could finish her speech, Tang Zhan popped out of the meteor, "come in" then he went back in again.

As the three of them entered, they saw that the stocked up dealer's ware was now scanty and few in between.

"You still have free inventory slots, stock up on healing potions, detoxifiers, anti venoms, bandages, sanitary pads, toothbrush and paste, everything important for hygiene especially you ladies." Without giving them time to question the condition of the shop, Tang Zhan bombarded them with tasks to complete.

Whilst he, was busy selling unnecessary items for killer points, as it worked a dealer could see items in the multiworld market, or buy from it, with the currency of course being killer points.

Then he bought the three highest weapons his dealer level could permit him for his companions and another for himself in the multiworld market, "three of you, here".

They caught their respective weapon and checked it up.

These were the weapons of Banjo, Yufei and X respectively. "Brother how did you get the points to buy all these?"
