As soon as I was left alone in the garden I called out for Jade.
When he didn't appear immediately I realized I was sad and really liked the little green toddler. I once again began cultivating, focusing all my energy on the green particles. After awhile of moving from plant to plant and gathering the green energy, I came across a plant that appeared to be sick. Following Jade's teaching from yesterday, I slowly released the green energy inside of me into the sick plant. I watched in amazement as the sick looking black color slowly changed into a heathy green. It looked so cheerful and happy and it made me happy that I could do something to help it.
"Good job!" Jade yelled out next to my ear. Startled, I ended up falling ungracefully onto the ground. Not that that was a new thing, especially in my past life where I didn't have a cheat like my aura.
"Why...did you...not...come out?" I couldn't help but ask with a slightly hurt tone. "Did you...not have...enough...energy?"
"No, I did, but I wanted you to try things on your own without my help and guidance. I wanted to make sure you truly understood everything and was very proud to have such a quick learning student and host."
"I'm...called a...host?" I had honestly never heard that term before. All I could think of was like parasites, but decided vocalizing that comparison would not go over well, so I kept my mouth shut.
"Yes. Now on to the next lesson. Here are some small sprouts. You can use the green energy to encourage growth. You are not yet strong enough to grow anything major, but you should be able to give these a little boost" Jade said while pointing to a cluster of barely sprouted plants. each with just 2 small leaves that had just finished passing the surface.
"When you get stronger, you'll be able to help all of them grow at once, but it requires the skill of splitting your mind in several different directions, because each plant is different. Each is unique and will need a certain wavelength of energy. So start with this one in the corner and move your way across the row until you get to the other side."
"How will...I know...when...to...stop?" I asked.
"How about when you have doubled the leaf count."
"Okay" I said and began with the little sprout on my far right. Jade was right when he said it was different than healing the larger sick plants. Instead of using the green energy to 'burn' the infection, I was instead slowly pushing the green energy into the stem to make it strong and the leaves to encourage new ones to form.
My first try I accidently overdid it and there was not only full grown leaves and a bud, but the whole flower was on it's side because the stem wasn't strong enough to hold all of the new growth up. I was horrified, but then put my hands back on the stem to try to straighten and strengthen it. I was able to set it aright, but I had exausted all my energy and felt like I was light headed.
"Sit down and gather more energy" Jade said. Knowing he was right, I sat down and spent the rest of the afternoon gathering energy. Totally forgetting to ask him about the matter with Akai and the rest.
