Chapter 18- The Future:
Pitch Black Is All That Surrounded As Midnight Dawned Over, I Was In The Usual Sleeping Position That Being In The Middle Of Kurumi And Kana Along With Luci On Top Of My Chest. However, When My Eyes Opened Up Again I Noticed That Kana Had Disappeared From My Sight.
As I Scanned Around The Bedroom I Noticed That She Was Sitting By The Window Sill Like In The Past with a Thoughtful Expression. She Seemed To Be Staring At The Bright Moon As She Sat There Silently.
I Decided To See What Was Up With Her, So I Silently Moved Behind Her To Not Spook Her Of Course And When I Got Close Enough I Tapped Her. She Instantly Seemed To Know It Was Me As Her Eyes Sparkled When She Felt My Touch. "So What's Up With You Kana?" I Asked As I Sat Beside Her.
"Oh... Haha, Nothings Up.. I Swear Mati-kun" She Pleaded With Stutters, It Was Obvious Even By My View That Something Was Up So I Decided To Passively Confront Her About It. I Gently Nudged Her As I Carried On Speaking "Nah Something's Up Haha Come On Tell Me" I Spoke Softly Attempting To Get Something Out Of Her.
I Then Playfully Punched Her As She Let Out A Little Adorable Laugh As Usual. "Well, I Was Just Thinking About Some Things..." She sighed Looking Back At The Night Sky. "Aren't You Afraid Matthew?" She Added However I Was Perplexed By Her Question What Did She Mean?
"I Don't Know What You Mean Kana" I Answered With Confusion As She Smiled At My Answer As Usual. "Well Ever Since That Priest Attacked I Was Wondering If You Really Wanted This Relationship?" She Asked Another Question, However This One Made My Heart Sink.
"Of Course! I Have Powers Now And Sure I'm Rusty With Them Now But Eventually I'll Grow Stronger And Protect You From Anything!" I Yelled With Sheer Passion And Contempt As Kana's Eyes Sparkled. "Umm... Thank You I Don't Know What To Say Ha" She Blushed As She Fiddled With Her Hands Nervously.
"I Mean I Ain't Surprised Since My Statement Was A Bit Out Of Left Field Haha" I Laughed Nervously Scratching The Back Of My Head. "Besides There's No One That'll Stop Me With The Powers I Have Now, The Church Or FBI Or Whatever, I'll Stop Them Just To Be With All Of You" I Set My Original Statement In Stone With This One As Kana Nodded Happily.
"Now Let's Get Some Rest And Stop Focusing On Such Negative Thoughts" I Suggested As Kana Nodded In Agreement As She Followed Bakx To The Bed. As I Rested Against The Mattress Again I Was Brought With Sight Of Kana's Face Up Close, "Goodnight Mati-kun~" She Said Softly Before Giving Me A Little Peck On The Cheek. Soon We Both Drifted Off To Sleep...
The Next Day Soon Came, The Sunlight Bringing A Gentle And Serene Glow As It Brought Calm Warmth In. I Had Already Awoken Already Dressed In Uniform Due To The Fact It Was School Again (Like I Always Say Oh How I Am Not Happy To Say That Sentence). At Least We'd Be Safe From Any Killer Priests At School.
"Is Everyone Ready?" I Opened The Front Door As I Looked Behind Myself Seeing All The Girls In Their Usual Uniform, Minus Luci Since She Wore Literally Anything Without Any Problem. "Alright Let's Make Our Way Back To School Then" I Gestured For Everyone To Follow.
"So Matthew Did You Revise A Little For Our Exams? Since We Did Have A Long Weekend" Kana Asked Intriguingly As Suddenly My Brain Froze As If It Was On Ice. "Uh... Yeah Yeah Totally" I Answered With A Nervous Cough At The End I Had Completely Forgot About Any Revision This Morning.
"Oh That's Great Mati-kun, I Bet You'll Pass! I Believe In You Haha!" She Cheered Happily Soon We Approached The Bush That Charlie Usually Came Out Of. "Hold On He Should Be Coming Out Of Here Any Minute" I Announced As I Awaited Charlie's Definitive Arrival. And Just Like That, He Got Flung Out Of Bushes Like He Got Kicked Out Of A Casino By A Bouncer.
"Oh Hey, Guys! Matthew, Kana, Luci And Kurumi, Your Harem Is Coming Along Greatly" He Exclaimed As I Blushed Brightly. "Could You Not Make That So Public?" I Sighed Rubbing My Head In Annoyance. "I Don't Want The Whole Neighborhood Knowing" I Added With Another Deep Sigh.
"Alright Alright Buddy, I'll Keep It Quiet You Can Trust Me" He Winked Mischievously, You Could Never Tell When This Guy Was Being Serious Or Not, But That's Just How Charlie Is I Guess...
