Bleach: Twin Suns

(NOTICE: As the lead category is meant for the target audience, this fic has been changed to the Male Lead category despite its Female MC to better fit its target audience) After a violent death, Chiaki Takahashi was reborn as Chiaki Kurosaki, Ichigo’s twin sister, and thrust into a difficult situation. As it turns out, living your favorite manga is a lot harder than reading it, and Chiaki may find very soon that things could go off the rails if she’s not careful. Whether she wants it or not, she may find that for the world of spirits, she may have no choice but to act as the world’s second light of hope, and she’ll need more than snappy retorts to survive it. Schedule: Fluctuates: there’s no set release schedule, but at the very least, a chapter will be released every Sunday (CST).

Aggressive Diplomacy

"Alright, first order of business."

Chiaki had already walked out of the classroom and had begun to keep track of Rukia and Ichigo as they left the room through the use of her own reiatsu sensing. However, she didn't want to follow too close behind, for a couple of reasons, the most pressing of which being dealing with a loose thread, a literal one in this case..

Raising her hand into the air, Chiaki manifested the numerous spiritual threads that could be found through the use of Reikaku. Quick as lightning, Chiaki snatched the one representing herself out of the air, crumpling it up into nothing.

["Are you sure that will do anything to hide your new shinigami power? I mean, we haven't really tested it, but for all we know the Reikaku threads you destroy will just be recreated later anyway."]

Despite Ayane questioning her decision, Chiaki simply gave a shrug, adjusting her bag on the way out as she made her way out of the school. While she was keeping a cool appearance on the outside though, her brain was alight with her own plans and possible options for the coming day: in her view, this was absolutely the most dangerous situation she'd face, so even if it might not help much, every precaution helped.

[Reikaku threads are compressed reiatsu trails that get formed by force, and anyone can see them. Destroying my trail should work for a bit, so long as I continue to suppress my output to hide the extent of my power. There's a more important issue though. Ayane, about how many hours until Uryu releases the hollow bait onto the town?"]

["Uhhhhhhh…. I'd say around 22 and a half hours? So you have time to take a nap, rest and heal your wounds, you know… human stuff. So yeah, totally- Chiaki, why are you walking towards Ichigo and Uryu?]

Chiaki couldn't help but grin a little at her friend's panic. Ayane may have been a super smart Mod-Soul model, but in terms of practical knowledge, Chiaki had a lot to teach her about being decisive instead of passive: acting to cut off the cause of the branching variables, instead of the symptoms might just save them a ton of problems.

[I'm ending this little charade before it starts. As fun as it would be to deal with the whole mess with the hollow bait, I'm not the kind of person to take chances with this. I kind of like Karakura Town after all, and I don't plan on letting things get outta hand because of the ripple effects of my presence, you know?]

["Chiaki, there's literally nothing you can say that's going to do anything. Just use the time to prepare and-"]

Chiaki simply decided to shut out Ayane from her head for now, or at least, do her best to ignore her for now. Seeing Uryu in the middle of proclaiming his hatred of Shinigami to Ichigo, Chiaki simply slid in with a surprising smoothness, a grin on her face as she stared down the startled Uryu.

"Hey there! What's the legendary seamstress want with my brother? Or are you looking for me? Scared of losing your top scorer spot to the real #1 student in the class?"

"Chiaki, what are you…."

"Shush Ichigo, let me talk to him."

Ichigo looked as if he wanted to comment on the matter, but after an exchange of glances with Rukia, he seemed to reach the conclusion that he should see what she was planning

"Chiaki, you better know what you're doing."

Uryu on the other hand quickly regained his composure after Chiaki's sudden entrance; Staring at her coldly from behind his glasses, Uryu demanifested his bow, before shaking his head disappointedly.

"Chiaki, while you may be able to see spirits, the grudge I hold has no bearing on your own life. Even if it did, you wouldn't have the power to act against it either. I recommend you simply wait for the final grades to be released, it would be a much better use of your time."

"Would it now?"

Chiaki allowed a wave of reiatsu to flow out of herself; It wasn't anywhere near the full extent of it, nor was it for very long, but it was enough to show Uryu that her power was being suppressed by way of caution through her own skill, not because she herself was lacking in power. Uryu' did a slight double take, before narrowing his eyes, his level of caution significantly raised.

"I see… so you've been hiding your true spiritual pressure so far… still, it doesn't change anything. Is there a reason that you've come to show off? Are you planning on helping Ichigo in this?"

Chiaki simply shrugged:

"Look, I don't know what sort of issue you have with Ichigo, but you don't have any reason to fight one another. You seem to have a grudge against us, but Ichigo's just been doing his best to keep things in order while Rukia is unable. Whatever hate you have for him is unwarranted, he's just been doing his best to help out."

Uryu gave her an look of pure indignation, his hand twitching as if he wanted to fire off an arrow at her. Nonetheless, rationality prevailed, Uryu giving a sigh and shaking his head.

"I understand you're trying to cool things off and avoid an altercation, but this conflict is inevitable. You have no idea what the shinigami of the past have-"

"All that is pointless now. Whatever the Shinigami did in the past is worthless. Think of the present instead; How many people would you be able to save if you actually let everyone do their job instead of arguing!"

Uryu seemed to be taken aback by the sudden outburst from Chiaki. After a moment of thinking, Uryu just turned away, not even bothering to give Chiaki a second glance as he left.

"I don't see any point in continuing this conversation. If you can't understand the pride of the Quincy, then I have no reason to engage with you."

Chiaki opened her mouth to speak, but before she could say anything, Rukia would step in front of her and raise a hand to signal for Chiaki to stop.

"Chiaki, I appreciate your help, but you can't do anything else. Further argumentation might create escalation, it would be better for us to wait some time and research what sort of enemy he is."

Chiaki pursed her lips, unsure of what to do; Her worries were allayed just a little though, as Ichigo gave her a slight pat on the shoulder.

"Don't worry, whatever he pulls, we can deal with it. I mean, we've gotten this far."

Chiaki still was unsure, but, in the face of everyone's protests, she didn't have a choice, so, reluctantly, Chiaki acquiesced.

"Wow, really laying it on thick… ok ok, I got it, no more trying to use talk-no-jutsu… but you two, stay on guard alright? No telling what he might do."

"Don't waste words telling us what we already know. I'm already itching to kick that four eyed prick's teeth in for trying to pick a fight."

Chiaki couldn't help but grin a little at Ichigo's annoyance, even if it caused a little disappointment to show on Rukia's face. Still…

"Well, alright then, I trust you to take care of it."

Chiaki could afford to let Ichigo handle the rest. She had a different job to do now.
