Exodia 120: To Olympus

{Shoya Sasaki's POV:}

(Around an hour ago)

Hmm...

Oh shit, ah, my body feels so fucking heavy. It's not felt like this for a while. It reminds me of all of those times I used to stay up late, playing games, and I would wake up the next morning with this type of body ache.

Of course, this was before I reawakened as a Streia. I'm finding it hard to believe that my body hurts like this when I got lots of sleep.

[It's the side effects of a spell.]

Side effect? What spell?

Actually, I should be asking who cast the spell on me.

[My guess is that this was cast by your stepmother. She seems to have an affinity for illusionary elements.]

Illusionary elements? Whatever that means.

[I won't explain it to you but your stepmother put you to sleep, forcibly, and your father left you a note on your desk.]

"Fuck..."

I got up from my bed, swaying side to side slightly, I opened my desk and got the white paper on top of all of my stationery.

I unfolded it and skimmed through it.

"That fucker."

I ripped up the letter and threw them in the bin beside my bed.

"He said that I'd wake up at 12:10 pm and there'd be a teleportation circle to Olympus in around an hour."

[Why Olympus?]

"Apparently some conference is being held there. Last time I got to Olympus by... I don't even know, so the only way to get there is by a teleportation circle that will appear in the living room."

God... I don't want to go there but I guess it's better than nothing.

It's Saturday, I think... Yeah, I remember having social studies yesterday.

God, I need to take a shower.

---

Around half an hour later, I finished the warm and peaceful shower I had. No one screaming at me to get out or no one laughing hysterically at fucking catfighting videos.

Just me and my mind; Altair, I mean.

[Uh... Shoya.]

"Hm?"

[Why is there a suit outside?]

I exited the shower, with a towel over my shoulder, and stared at the folded suit, trousers and tie next to my wet clothes.

"Miya-san!"

I shouted down the stairs.

"Yes?"

I saw my stepmother appear at the bottom of the flight of stairs.

"Were you the one who put this suit here?"

I asked her.

"Suit? Oh, no, your father put that there for you!"

"Is he here?"

"No, he left in the morning!"

Huh, but I'm sure that I didn't see it until I got out of the bath. What about you, Altair?

[It was the first thing I noticed when you exited the shower. I'm sure it wasn't there before you entered the shower. If your father left in the morning...]

"Let's just... not think about it and put it on."

[I agree.]

I put it on and looked at myself in the mirror.

"I look good. I guess."

[What did the letter say again?]

"Uhm..."

I scratched the back of my head and walked back into my room.

"At 1:10 pm, there should be a teleportation circle waiting for us."

[And it will transport us to Olympus for this... Conference?]

"Yeah. I'm just going to chill on my phone until 1:10 pm."

---

When the time came, I went downstairs and saw Miya-san on the television.

"Oh, Shoya, there's--"

"A magic circle? Where?"

"By the doorway. I presume it's for you."

"Thanks, Miya-san!"

She waved at me as I walked over to the doorway.

A magic circle, giving off a violet glow, blocked my way on the ground.

"Gah, I need shoes."

I can't get them because of the magic circle. If I step in it, I'll be teleported. I can't reach it and I don't have any shows upstairs.

My Dad's shoes don't fit me either.

[I mean, you can spellcraft.]

"Eh? But can I do it on instinct?"

Actually, what am I talking about, I did it when I was training with Azuka but what spell, exactly?

[Just try.]

"Uh, okay..."

"What was that, Shoya?"

Miya-san shouted, overhearing me talking to myself, Altair.

"N-nothing!"

Okay, so, to do this, I'm going to have to make some sort of grapple spell.

"I'll call it... Uh... Well... Shadow Grapple?"

I summoned Erebus and it turned into thin gauntlets on my hand; a shadowy hand extended itself from my palm and grabbed my black trainers.

I pulled back and caught my trainers--the Shadow Grapple disappeared.

[You need to come up with better names.]

"Shut up."

I put them on and stepped into the circle.

Closing my eyes for a second, the next thing I knew, I was in the familiar landscape of Olympus.

However, some unfamiliar guys were standing next to the main doors.

Shouldn't maids be there instead?

"Who're you?"

The guy on the left asked.

They both wore sunglasses and black suits. What are they, some federal agents?

"I'm Shoya Sasaki, the B--"

Ah, I don't know if I should say that yet.

"The son of Gedo Sasaki."

"Stop chatting bullshit and get out of here. Gedo Sasaki only has three daughters, no sons."

The guy on the right, with a mohawk, said.

"You're not welcomed without an invitation."

"But how could I get up here without a teleportation circle?"

I asked him.

"Fuck off, kid. You're not welcome."

Seriously? I'm practically asked to come here by my Dad and he doesn't even tell them about me. Why?

Even he isn't that much of an idiot.

"Wait, what event is going on now?"

"I said, fuck off, ki--"

"The Emperors' Ceremony."

The guy with the mohawk looked at his partner, slightly pissed.

"Oi! Why would you tell him?!"

"No one would be brave enough to disturb an event that involves the Emperors."

[I see.]

['Yeah, so do I. Dad was probably told not to tell them about me by an Emperor, but by who?']

[My guess is Reinhardt. He has these types of sneaky tendencies. Anyway, how will you get past these guys?]

"How else?"

"What was that, twerp? Why the fuck haven't you scrammed?!"

"I'll beat the living shit out of them."

"Alright, that's the last straw!"

The guy on the left came flying at me with his fist.

I would love to use my scythe but they don't deserve that since they were just doing their job.

"I'll use the Shadow Gauntlet."

And so, my gauntlets shrouded my hands. I dodged his punch and knocked him in the head. As for the mohawk guy, I spun and kicked his head.

I forcibly opened the door, only to have more sunglasses looking at me.

"Get him! Intruder!"

So, man after man, I knocked every single guy out in a single punch, kick or headbutt. Then, when I got to the next set of doors.

"You will be killed for your insolence."

I heard someone say.

When I entered the room, there was a red carpet, and on either side was a huge crowd. In front of me were five men, four of them with weapons made from mana.

"Hah? It's not my fault that I'm late. Blame that broccoli-coloured-haired idiot up there."

I retorted, slightly annoyed from my previous encounter.

I then looked up at Reinhardt, who had a devious smile on his face. I glared at him.

"You just insulted an Emperor! Now that is something you will die for."

"Die for? I'm not interested."

I told them.

"Guess I'm going to have to go up to the thrones..."
