Chapter 15: Dungeon Part 3

Running and jumping through the dungeon with his [Godspeed] activated, Suzaku kept on following the Golden Dawn trio with his mana sense skills.

'Man... running gets boring, maybe I should create a flying or teleporting skill' He thought as he made sure he was still on their trail.

'Right now, Luck should be fighting with that smoke guy from the diamond kingdom (?), I'll let Asta and Noelle handle that' He smirked as he remembered the foe that him and the gang will be fighting, 'I'll take care of the big boss'

.

"We're almost there!" Mimosa announced to Klaus and Yuno.

A few seconds later, they arrived in a room with a massive door - seemingly where the treasure is.

"That's amazing!" Mimosa gasped in awe at the size of the door.

"So this is all dungeons are? Hmph, that wasn't difficult at all" Klaus confidently shrugged as he pushed his glasses up.

"How do you think we get in?" Yuno ask as they slowly descended on his wind magic.

"Hmm... The Black Bulls aren't here yet" Mimosa loudly muttered once the wind spell was dispersed and they stood on the floor.

"Of course not. They couldn't be faster than we are-" Klaus stated, not realising that someone arrived behind them.

*KRAKK!* 

Crystal spikes spawned below Mimosa, piercing her body which caused her blood to drip down the tips of the crystal spikes.

"Wha..." Slow to react at how fast they had been attacked, Klaus and Yuno failed to comprehend what had just happened.

"MIMOSA!" Klaus shouted in worry as he had finally realised that their teammate had been injured by an unknown entity.

He ran to check on her injured, close to unconscious body.

"Ngh..." She weakly groaned in pain as she struggled to move.

"You're alive, right!?" Klaus panicked as he noticed that Mimosa's magic-shielding cloak had torn from the unexpected attack.

'This wasn't a trap spell...' He thought as he began to shout in anger, "WHO ARE YOU!?"

The sound of footsteps approaching could be heard.

"Who's there..." The figure spoke, "Who's in my way?"

Yuno and Klaus turned to the owner of the voice, which was revealed to be a pale young man of average height with a well-defined muscle tone. He has short, light purple hair with a spiky hairstyle and a lock falling down at the middle of his forehead.

"Move" The guy ordered as he further approached Yuno, Klaus and the injured Mimosa.

Yuno and Klaus, looking at the crystal man, finally noticed that he was walking on his own magic as he walked towards them confidently with no trace of fear in his eyes.

On the side, Mimosa weakly moved her hand to open her grimoire.

[Plant Recovery Magic: Dream-Healing Flower Cradle] Her body was encased by the plants as she began to heal herself from the damage.

"I'm really sorry... I was the healer... Yet I went down first..." She said towards Klaus and Yuno, barely audible but they were fortunate enough to hear her.

"Don't worry about it, just focus on healing yourself" Klaus replied as he pushed his glasses up once more, but this time to hide his anger as he calmed himself down.

He then began to analyse their opponent, 'That crest... the diamond kingdom! He's one of the invaders' mages?!' 

"You scoundrel! Attacking a woman from behind!? Is that the act of a warrior!?" Klaus shouted as he pointed at the diamond mage.

"...I don't understand you" The man responded emotionlessly as crystals formed from his feet and headed towards Mimosa, "They're all the same. Just pebbles by the wayside"

[Steel Creation Magic: Full Metal Fortress]

A steel wall appeared between Klaus and the attack, protecting the healing Mimosa behind him.

"Back me up, Yuno..." Klaus ordered, to which Yuno nodded as they stood side-by-side, "We'll show this diamond bastard...

The power of the Clover's Golden Dawn!"

- Meanwhile with Suzaku -

No longer running and jumping, Suzaku could be seen doing something odd in the eyes of others.

'Damn, still not completed?' He thought in complaint, 'I thought I had it that time... and the time before... and the time before that-'

He had been doing his odd action for a few minutes now, but he realised he had to hurry it up as he sensed a fourth presence with the Golden Dawns.

'That's gotta be Mars, I should finish this skill

- Back with Mars vs Yuno and Klaus - 

The battlefield was filled with wind, crystal and steel spells as the duo faced the Diamond foe.

'This guy...! His attacks are so strong, and he's not even using his grimoire!? Not only that... but his magic doesn't seem to be weakening!' Klaus thought in a panic as he realised the enemy might be a bit too strong for them

'If this goes on...' Klaus grit his teeth, "Yuno!! While I'm fighting him, get to the treasure hall!" He called out, surprising Yuno.

"...He's tough! If you fight him without backup, even you won't-" Yuno replied, worried for his team captain.

"IT DOESN'T MATTER, JUST GO!! FRANKLY, I'D RATHER NOT LEAVE THIS TO A PEASANT LIKE YOU!!" Klaus shouted back, "STILL! THIS IS FOR OUR COUNTRY! FULFILL OUR DUTY!"

Silenced, Yuno paused for a few seconds before running towards the treasure door.

"That's right, you dullard!" Klaus muttered with a small smile, 'Crap!' He exclaimed as he felt his foot trapped in crystals.

Looking up, he saw a barrage of crystals heading toward his trapped figure.

'Damn... this isn't good' Klaus closed his eyes, expecting this to be the end for him, 'Goddamn it... how pathetic-'

Suddenly, a strong gust of wind came from behind, shattering the crystals.

Knowing where the wind came from, Klaus turned around to see Yuno not far from him as he faced Mars, "Why did you come back!? Right now, your priority is the mission..."

"No..." Yuno muttered, feeling pathetic towards himself as he actually considered leaving Klaus to face Mars and entering the treasure hall, "I won't...

Leave my friend!" He stated.

"You fool! Why would you come back!? Even if you're the only one left, get to the treasure hall! This is for the Clover Kingdom!" Klaus shouted as sweat dripped down his face from the overpowering magic of the foe.

"Let's beat this guy... and go together!" Yuno's words left Klaus stunned at his declaration, "No more messing around..." Yuno whispered as he opened his grimoire.

[Wind Creation Magic: Swift White Hawk + Wind Blade Shower]

Yuno's overwhelming magic capabilities surprised Klaus who was not expected dual casting from the newbie.

"The Golden Dawn... will be the first ones to reach the treasure hall!" Yuno declared.

- Back to Suzaku -

'Finally!'

[User has successfully created a spell! What would user like to name his new spell?] 

Suzaku took some time to think about his response 

'Wings of Thor'

[Is user sure he would like to name his new spell: 'Spell Name'? Y/N] 

'Pretty shit name, but oh well. Can't think of anything else' He pressed Y (A/N: Name suggestions ples)

[User has successfully created the spell 'Wings of Thor (New)'!]

With the creation of his new spell, lightning began to protrude from Suzaku's backs before it transformed itself into a pair of beautiful purple wings (A/N: Feel free to drop any images)

- Back to the Golden Dawns -

"...How... Can this be!?" Klaus worriedly said as he saw Yuno's barely standing figure.

"Huff... Huff..." Yuno breathed heavily as he looked at the massive crystal sword which levitated beside Mars.

"Begone"

[Crystal Creation Magic: Laevateinn] Mars got in a position, ready to swing the gigantic sword.

"This..." Klaus lifted himself up off the floor, "Could NEVER be all right!" [Steel Creation Magic: Fierce Spiral Lance]

Klaus grabbed the lance and charged at Mars.

"KLAUS!" Yuno shouted in an attempt to stop Klaus' attack.

As Klaus got close to Mars' unmoving figure, a massive crystal figure materialised in place of Mars.

[Crystal Creation Magic: Talos Doll] The figure instantly destroyed Klaus' spear

"...WHAT!?" 'A crystal copy?!' Klaus panicked as the crystal copy began to attack him.

"It's over..." Mars announced as he swung the sword towards Yuno.

The massive crystal sword swung down upon Yuno's weakened figure.

"I don't think so!" A new voice appeared behind Mars, slightly surprising him as he turned around.

Unfortunately for him, the figure came at a speed too fast for Mars to react as a hand grabbed his face.

"Wha..." Mars widened his eyes in shock as the hand kept a firm hold on his face.

He then felt his feet being lifted up off the floor as he finally took notice of who had grabbed him.

It was a dark toned figure with white hair who looked at him with a smirk.

*BOOMM! KRIKKK* 

The back of Mars collided with the dungeon wall strongly as he had been thrown at it like it was nothing by the new foe.

"...Who are you...?" Mars stood up calmly and walked towards the new opponent. Fortunately for him, he had activated his [Steel Magic: Nemean Armor] in time, which caused him to take barely any damage from the throw.

"Suzaku!?" Yuno yelped, causing Suzaku to turn towards him.

"Yoh!" Suzaku walked towards Yuno, "Wow! You got your ass whooped!" Suzaku's words caused Yuno to look at him in a deadpan

"No... you just ruined my ultimate attack which I was about to use after I dodged his attack which would've defeated him" Yuno refuted with a serious expression, causing Suzaku, Klaus, and even the still healing Mimosa to look at Yuno in disbelief.

"...You know what" Suzaku patted Yuno's shoulder, "Whatever you say, buddy... whatever you say" He then walked past Yuno towards Klaus, "..."

Klaus glared up at Suzaku, "Don't even think about saying it" He bluntly said towards Suzaku, causing him to laugh

"Pfft! You got your ass beat even more than Yuno! Hahaha! And after all that talk about nobles and peasants!" Suzaku laughed as he wiped the tears which came out of his eyes due to his hardcore laughing.

"..." Klaus shook in anger, but was unable to refute, "Whatever!" He shouted, "Thanks... you really saved us there..." Klaus muttered inaudibly as he looked away to avoid eye contact.

Unfortunately for him, Suzaku was not your normal guy as he was the only one who was able to hear Klaus, which caused him to have a small smile as he patted Klaus' shoulder similar to Yuno.

"Not bad, Mr. Golden specs. Good job on surviving and protecting yourselves 'til I got here. Leave this to me" Suzaku confidently stated as he pointed at himself with a toothy smile.

Suzaku then walked past Klaus and finally arrived at Mimosa, who was still healing herself, "Uhh... I don't really know you, but good job to you too!" Suzaku, unsure of what to say or do, patted Mimosa's head.

"..." Unable to say anything, Mimosa could only look at Suzaku's back as he headed towards Mars.

"Are you done ignoring me?" Mars asked, slightly angry at Suzaku's actions - Both throwing him into a wall and then ignoring him.

"Sorry, I didn't hear you, care to repeat that?" Suzaku lied as he pretended to clean his ear with his finger.

"..." Mars looked at Suzaku's carefree self with a glare.

"I'm gonna kill you"

"I'd love to see you try"

A/N: Before anyone says anything, the reason for MC taking his time by creating the lightning wings spell is for 3 reasons: 1. I've been wanting the MC to create a flying spell anyway, and I thought now would've been a good time, 2. He felt it was fine to do it as he knows Klaus, Mimosa and Yuno would end up fine anyway due to canon.

And uh, 3. To be honest, I kinda forgot the MC had the territory magic, but this will be the last/only time that will be the case so yeah. (I only remembered as I was writing this A/N)

P.S. next chapter should be the last chapter for this dungeon arc
