Chapter 148 - Freak Blood Festival(Part 16)

Point-of-View: Theo Ranger

———————————————————————————

"Hey, how are you holding up? The police are here, and ambulances should arrive soon too," I remarked, as I opened the door.

"Huh? Oh, hey, Theo...I see, that's good. Where's Ario?" Responded Parmila quietly.

"Dunno, he left after we defeated that guy with the Aquakinesis power. Oh, and let's not tell anyone that he was here, neither the cops or the boss," I replied, as I helped her up and led her out of the room I'd hidden her inside of.

"What are you talking about? You know full well that the boss and the cops are looking for him, we have no choice but to-...," She began reluctantly.

"No, we don't. We already got him arrested once, even though he did nothing to deserve that, he did nothing wrong. And today, if it wasn't for him, a lot more people would've died. The least we can do is not make things harder for him," I cut her off firmly.
