{5,000 Years Ago, Khandaqi Borders}
"CHTHON, YOUR FINAL HOUR HAS ARRIVED!!"
A howling a deep growling voice called out, then came a powerful gust of wind and a crack of thunder not long after came overhead. A figure bolting at super sonic speeds across the desert like landscape with his armor damaged and blood dripping from his body came at an eldritch like being. They stood more than 20 meters, towering over everything as the man came in. Golden lightning surrounded his body like an aura as he cocked back a fist and threw it forward into Chthon's face. The eldricth god stumbled back, and howled out in anger as he closed his eyes. For the first time in his existence, the old god hadn't expected this tenacious mortal to have such power and ferocity.
"Keep going Adam, the spell is almost complete!" Called another figure, further away but his voice could be heard regardless. Even so, Adam did not need any encouragement to continue fighting. What was pushing him forward was a broken heart, what was pushing him forward was pure, unadulterated, rage.
Adam called forth a powerful bolt of lightning to come down upon Chthon's massive body. The bolt illuminated the area and caused an explosion to occur within it. Even then, Adam was not yet done as he soared forth while gritting his teeth. His clasped his hands together and brought them down in a hammer fist, onto Chthon's chest. A shockwave radiated across the landscape, shattering the very earth beneath them and forming a crater where Chthon stood. The eldricth demon let out an inhuman roar before firing a blast of eldricth magic at Adam from his scarlet eyes. The beam collided with Adam's body, sending him ragdolling away and landing a good distance away. Despite being hit, he rose back up out of the dust and let out several pants. His body was already healing from the wounds that he had received.
"IS THAT ALL THAT YOU CAN CONJURE FOUL DEMON!?" Adam exclaimed, then with a crouch, he bolted up and off the crater that he stood in and towards Chthon once more. The Eldricth monstrosity cocked a fist back and sent it forward. However Adam dodged by twirling in the air, then firing a bolt of golden lightning into Chthon's face, blinding the demonic foe. For the first time since this battle had begun, Chthon's skin became scorched. Before Adam could continue his advance on Chthon, the eldricth god caught him in its' other hand. With a fierce glare directed to Adam's way, it used It's other hand to try and crush him. Adam gritted his teeth, and used the full totality of his awesome strength to push apart Chthon's gargantuan palms. His eyes locked onto Chthon's face as it glared back down at him, then it fired a destructive blast of magic upon him, intending to vaporize him. Adam tanked the attack, feeling his body heat up and become scorched.
"WHO ARE YOU TO CHALLENGE ME MORTAL!?", Spouted Chthon with an enraged tone, "YOU ARE NOTHING BEFORE ME!"
Adam felt his power wane for but a moment, then his thoughts traveled back to the reason why he was still fighting. His mind centering around his current drive to push himself. Immediately afterwards, thunder roared across the whole of Khandaq, even across earth. Adam had yet to be exhausted, his determination to defeat Chthon had yet to wane. "You ask who I am to challenge you?" Adam uttered beneath his breathe, his body arcing with golden lightning as he kept his golden hueing eyes glued to Chthon.
"I. Am. Black Adam!"
After spouting his name, Adam called forth a thunderous blast of lightning down atop of Chthon. The golden bolt of mystical lightning collided on top of the two, but scorching the eldricth demon's form. It howled in pain and released Adam, allowing the him to attack Chthon unhindered once more. Adam conjured golden lightning into his arms, then drove himself forward. His fists impacted Chthon's chest, and pushed the eldricth god backwards. Though Adam did not stop as he let out a cry of effort to drive himself through the foul demon. Slowly but surely he was feeling his fists make headway into Chthon's chest. Until eventually, an orange circle formed below Chthon, causing it to kneel. Orange chains appeared and pulled it down, weakening it as Adam pushed through Chthon's chest. He flew through the eldricth demon's inards, passing by it's black kidney, lungs, and right through its' spine. Adam pierced right out of the weakened eldricth god.
Adam turned while floating above and glared down at Chthon, faintly panting as he knew who was the one to intervene. His body covered in black blood and guts, dripping from his bronze brown skin and black hair. 'Finally you make yourself useful, Agamotto..' Adam thought with annoyance as his rage began to subside. The adrenaline that was pumping through his veins still coursed through him. He watched as Chthon was being pulled downwards while it howled and thrashed against the restraints. Agamotto, the recently minted and self proclaimed Sorcerer Supreme conjured the spell that would banish Chthon from their dimension. Black Adam watched as the eldricth god was being sucked into the arcane circle as black blood drooled from it's gaping chest wound and it's mouth. Though it's final words before descending into god knows where did not go unheard by Adam's super senses. "I will return....all will feel my wrath...ALL WILL FEEL MY WRATH!" Chthon proclaimed as it finally was taken away to another dimension altogether.
Black Adam let out a slight sigh of relief and finality, then his face contorted into worry as he turned and flew off. He was headed in the direction of Khandaqi city, as he neared it, he found the city in ruins but It's people alive and well. There were notable figures who looked worse for ware but stood regardless as they had defended the city. Sadly, Adam paid no mind to them, he continued to fly towards the main palace. His thoughts upon one person, one individual who drove him from rational behavior.
"Jasnah!" He called as he descended downwards towards a large broken down doorway. As he rushed inside, he passed by hundreds of eldricth monsters that lay dead all around the palace floor. Each looking to either having been scorched to death, or turned to ash. He continued towards throneroom, nearly busting the door off It's hinges as he entered. To his horror, he saw the one woman whom his heart belonged to. His dark brown eyes landing on a beautiful bronze brown skinned woman, her violet dress stained with her blood, her body covered in wounds, and her long silky black hair also being stained by her blood. All around her, armored Khandaqi guards clad in heavy bronze armor laid dead as well, having defended her to their last dying breathes. Their bodies being torn apart or to pieces.
Adam rushed up the steps that lead to two thrones, and kneeled down beside the woman he loved. His eyes were widened with fear as he slowly and gently lifted her into his arms. He had the back of her head in one hand, and with his free hand he had it placed over a stab wound at her abdomen. Tears inched at the corners of his eyes as he held her, his mouth trembling, fearing the worse. "Jasnah..my love." He called in a sweet tone.
Jasnah did not move for a moment, but slowly her eyes weakly fluttered open, revealing her violet pupils. As they gazed up at Adam's watering eyes, a soft smile came to her lips. Slowly, she inched an arm up, using her hand to be placed on his well structured jaw. Adam closed his eyes and leaned his face onto her hand as his tears fell from his eyes. "Beloved....", She slowly uttered, "Chthon is beaten?"
Adam nodded quickly as he dared to open his eyes. Jasnah caressed his cheek, her smile becoming weakened as her eyes became hooded. Her red velvet lips curling into a sad smile pointing up at him. "I...protected our people...protected our home...as you would have."
"You were foolish to even dare to join the battle...I told you to take all who could not fight and flee far away from here."
"And leave the man I love to die....never."
Jasnah's heartrate slowed, her skin becoming cool to the touch as Adam's tears dripped down onto her. He knew that she was dying, and he didn't know what to do. He was powerless to help her, unable to heal her wounds. He felt so weak...so useless...for all his power he still could not save others from death.
"Please...do not cry...I go to where my ancestors before me go. Death is not the end...only a divergent...from the path..we walk.." Jasnah's words became slower and slower as her eyes inched closed. Her hand slid down from Adam's face as he kept his eyes affixed to her beautiful face. "Always know...my love for you...is eternal.."
With those last words, Jasnah's eyes slid closed and went limp in Adam's arms. He said nothing, staring down into her lifeless face, before shaking his head slowly. His own eyes closed as he leaned down, placing his head against her breast. His tears fell down profusely now, but bo sobs left him, holding them in as much as he could. His heart that had been strong up until now had been shattered to pieces. Being replaced with a cold one instead with the absence of his guiding compass. Adam knew that there were a group of individuals behind him, standing there in solemn silence as he silently mourned the death of his wife.
For a few moments of silence, Adam mourned to himself. Allowing what sorrow that he felt for his wife's passing to wash over him. Then slowly, he set his wife's body down gently and rose up to his full height. He stood a good 6"7, with muscles that made him appear that of an early human bodybuilder. Then with a turn, he found sent a glare to the assembled group of individuals who stood waiting for him. His glare landing on each and every one of them. "Get out...." He uttered in a low threatening tone.
Agamotto frowned, unsure if he heard Adam right. "Excuse me?"
"I said...get out." Adam's voice rumbled like thunder, his eyes crackling with golden lightning now.
"Adam, we mourn for you, but we are your friends, your allies." Spoke up a trim bearded man and muscular man, his attire looking like armor unlike any other. It was dark blue with golden accents going across it. He had a stern and stoic look plastered on his face, but his eyes showed pity for Adam. Pity that Adam did not want from the likes of him..
"Then mourn away from here...the dangers that my home have faced for decades were brought about because I played host to you all. While you adventured and fought across the world, Khandaq was protected by me and me alone. Only today have you realized the importance of my home. Only today has your battles brought death and destruction to my home. No longer. Khandaq is closed off to you, my people will no longer welcome you. I will no longer welcome you here....now get out...while I still allow you to, Ikaris"
"You talk like you can make us leave." Ikaris challenged, his eyes giving off a yellow hue.
"I can, and I will."
"Enough!" Ordered Agamotto, giving Ikaris a stern glare before looking to Adam. "Jhai, the world will need you when it is in danger. We will respect your wishes, but know that when the time comes, you will have to fight the threats that will come to Khandaq. Whether or not you wish to leave or not."
"Then I pity the fool who comes to my home wishing looking for a challenge..." Adam replied, then watched as the group began to leave the throneroom. When they finally left, Adam's stern and cold expression was dropped. He turned and looked down at his now dead wife, then slowly and gently he lifted her up into his arms. "Jasnah...I will protect them, wait for me."
After speaking to Jasnah's corpse, Jhai Adam began to walk down the steps to their thrones. He was headed out of the palace to bury his wife, and to aid in the rebuilding of Khandaq.

<Nick Fury>
"Fury are you sure about this? Khandaq's a myth and nobody has found it." An unsure Phil Coulson commented as he stood beside Director Nick Fury. The both of them were standing seemingly in the middle of nowhere. They had vehicles behind with men in suits and sunglasses standing guard. The African American male kept up a poker face before looking over at Phil with his one good eye.
"I'm sure Coulson, besides those ancient texts that Adrianna translated for us should be right. Khandaq is right here, as well as Earth's first and last defense against all threats."
At the mention of those words, the wind blew past them, as if something fast had flown by. Nick moved a hand up to cover his face from the incoming sand. The other men behind them including Coulson did the same. When the wind had gone by, Fury felt as if that they were being watched now. His one good eye scanned the surrounding area, finding nothing but sand and rocks. He knew that someone had to be there, after all that wind that blew through was not natural.
"Fury?" Coulson called, then pointed up to the air. The African American male looked upwards to find a man clad in black armor. Upon the man's chest was a golden lightning bolt that hued with electricity as thunder roared overhead. The man's eyes were even crackling with golden lightning as he glared down upon Fury and his men. "Is that the guy?" Coulson nervously asked.
"Most likely.." Fury uttered before stepping forward and away from Coulson. "Teth Adam! My name's Nicholas Fury, I'm an agent of-" Fury didn't get to finish his sentence, because Adam descended down to the ground like a lightning bolt. His descent and impact of the sand below caused a shockwave and dust to go up. Not long after the dust had settle, Fury and his men were able to see once again. However the African American male began to get nervous for the first time in his life. He didn't know much about Teth Adam, only that the man was a great wizard who was gifted powers from old gods that's long pass. That said, he didn't really believe the parts that said that Adam was godly powerful....until now.
Standing before Fury was Adam, the ancient hero towering over him with his golden hueing irises crackling with electricity. "I care not for who you are, nor for whom you serve Nicholas Fury..." Adam dryly said, his accent sounding like a crisp Egyptian accent. "Leave...while I still allow it."
Fury silently gulped, then slowly rummaged through his suit pocket. "I was sent here to ask for your help, the world's in danger." Fury spoke, his voice professional but beneath his facade was a nervous man.
"I care not if the world is in danger, fight your own battles."
"...The battle that needs fighting is 30 miles from here, and we can't fight it because you've already fought it once."
Fury pulled out a yellow folder, then opened it. In the next second, he pulled a picture out from the folder and showed it to Adam. The folder showed a man with horns coming out of his head. He had a red cape at his back, pale skin, and scarlet armor. Adam glared at the picture and raised a brow at it. Not long after he began to realize who that was, then looked at Fury once again. His golden hueing eyes glared at the man for but a moment longer, before they returned to their normal dark brown irises. "This city....what is it called?" Adam questioned.
Fury felt relief wash over him, before answering to Adam. "Cairo, Egypt."
Adam moved his eyes away from Fury and glanced behind the man. He noticed that the men behind Fury were holding weapons that he didn't understand. They had their weapons trained on Adam, but he looked unafraid of them. Fury had a feeling that Adam may have been bulletproof, though it wouldn't halt anyone from trying to shoot him anyway.
"So...are you going to help us?" Fury suddenly asked.
Adam sent a glare laced with malice onto Fury before responding. "No, I am going to finish what I started long ago...then I will decide if you may live or die."
Without another word said, Adam looked upwards then bolted off of the ground. The shockwave knocked Fury off of his feet as Adam flew into the air in the direction of Egypt. Fury watched the man fly away at speeds that he couldn't even comprehend. He heard Coulson running over to help him up. "So, is that a hero that you're hoping to be helping us out?" Coulson questioned as Fury dusted himself off before looking at the Caucasian male.
"No, Teth Adam is highly dangerous, and I feel as if for right now he's playing nice. We need to have eyes on him at all times. There is no telling what he can and will do, we're lucky that he just didn't feel like that we're worth killing." Fury stated with a sigh at the end, as the two men began walking back to their vehicles.
"Didn't he say that he'd decide that later?"
"Don't remind me..."
