S-Stop

6 am. Uh, what the hell it's so early? Hunter stretched to turn off his alarm He felt Aries lightly tugging his shirt.

"Stop moving your moving the whole bed," Aries grumbled, losing his grip on Hunter's shirt.

"Aries, I'm turning my alarm off."

"Fine."

Hunter grabbed his phone and turned off his alarm, quickly settling back into the bed. He wanted to sleep more, but he knew Aries had to leave before his mom got up.

"Ari." Hunter rolled over to look at him. "You got to get up, bee."

"I don't want to."

"I know, I know, but can you please?"

"Mhm."

"Please, Ari, leave before my parents are up."

"Fine." Aries sat up and stretched.

Ari made his way off the bed, and toward Hunter's closet. He opened the door and grabbed a sweatshirt. Borrowing close was a normal thing for these two. Especially since Ari stayed over so often.

"I'm borrowing this, and you're not getting it back."

"All right. Come here Hera, come here, baby."

Hera ran and jumped on Hunter. He smiled and ruffled Hera's thick fur. He was stroking her fur and letting her lick his face.

Aries stood in awe at the beautiful sight. The light was coming in perfectly through the window, hitting Hunter's face ever so lightly. Making his black hair look brown and his blue eyes were pools that Ari would die to fall into.

"Ari are you ok? You were staring off into space."

"Yeah, yeah," Aries shook his head.

He wasn't falling for his best friend, was he? He didn't think so. He shook his head again, dismissing those thoughts. Aries looked toward the ground. He was ashamed of himself. Why was he like this? He wanted to jump into Hunter and kiss him. But he couldn't. Hunter didn't like him like that and never would. Aries sighed and sat next to Hunter.

"What's wrong with me?" he asked quietly, hoping Hunter wouldn't hear.

"What do you mean?" Shit, he did.

"Nothing, nevermind."

"Yo, what's up?"

"It's nothing leave me alone," Aries was putting his walls back up.

"Ari." Hunter grabbed his arm lightly.

"Don't touch me," Aries pulled out of his grip, he was panicking he didn't know what to do. He fell off the bed but quickly stood backing away slightly.

Hera jumped off the bed and sat in front of Aries. Ari sat and petted Heras soft and inviting fur. It was calming, but it wasn't helping at the moment. Aries wanted to leave but felt compelled to stay. He wanted to stand up and run but his body wouldn't let him. What was this weird feeling? It hurt and felt good at the same time. Aries mind was going a million miles a minute and he couldn't think straight.

"Aries," Hunter moved off the bed in an attempt to get closer.

"N-no," Ari managed to spit out. "S-stop."

"Aries," Hunter tried again.

"N-n-no," Aries moved back.

It wasn't because he was threatened or anything he just needed time.

"I-I'll see you later," Aries shakenly stood and left the room.

Hunter stood there dumbfounded. What the hell just happened? Aries didn't want me to touch him. That's a new one. Huh. Hunter sat back down on his bed, contemplating what he should do next. All he knew was Aries was thinking hard about something and he didn't know what.

Aries left through the back door and looked out at the lake. It's beautiful.

He subconsciously started moving toward it. It was calling to him. Was he losing his mind? At this point honestly, he didn't know.

His feet practically meet the lake water before h stopped. Huh, it is really pretty I wonder what would happen if i...

Aries reached his hand in. He wasn't paying attention and fell in.

"Fuck, fuck," He didn't realize how deep it was. He made his way back onto the shore after a minute or two of struggle.

His breathing was heavy and uneven. He fell backward letting his body relax, well at least a little.

The small boy stood and started walking to the front of the house. He knew his mom forgot he was here so he would have to walk home. This day was gonna be great.

Later:

Hunter was sitting at his desk, half-listening to the lesson the teacher was teaching. Honestly, he could care less. Ari hadn't texted him all morning and he was starting to become worried.

He was looking out the window, wondering what Ari was thinking. Did I push it too far? Did I make him uncomfortable? Was it that weird-ass dream he had lat night?

Wait... The dream. He didn't wanna talk about it. Something scared him and that's why he was so jittery.
