Chapter 6

The next morning they all woke up to coffee brewing and Frankie cooking breakfast.

"Smells good Frankie," said Henry coming down to get a cup.

"Thank you," said Frankie.

"So what are the plans today?" asked Bob coming out of the bathroom.

"Oh, I'd figure we would ride into town and help the sheriff finish upgrading the jailhouse.

"Sounds good to me," said Red Bear.

"But first we got to eat," said Lone Wolf sipping on some coffee.

So Frankie put the breakfast on the table and they all started eating. When they were finished they cleaned up and walked out to the barn to saddle up the horses. As they rode into town they saw two men standing outside the general store, like they were waiting and looking around. So they just kept riding towards the jailhouse where Jason was on the ladder painting the outside of the jailhouse.

"Well well, will you like at that, look who just showed up," said Eddie.

"Well I little friend Billy," said Ray.

"Yeah, we better go over and hello to our old friend," said Eddie.

"Morning Jason," said Henry.

"Morning," said Jason.

"Billy," said Lone Wolf.

"I know I saw them," said Billy.

"Friends of yours?" asked Lone Wolf.

"Yeah you could say that," said Billy.

"It looks like they are waiting on something," said Bob looking out the window.

"I don't know how they found me here?" asked Billy.

"Maybe someone you knew a long time ago told," said Red Bear.

"Maybe," said Billy.

"Come on in, let me show you what all I have done so far," said Jason.

"Let's go inside, they won't set foot in here," said Billy.

So they all went inside and closed the door.

"Wait, we will have to wait for them to come out," said Eddie.

So they went back to the general store and stood there once again waiting for them to meet out in the open.

"So as you can see right now, we put in new bars, they are a lot more sturdy and hard to kick open," said Jason.

"Looks nice," said Henry.

"Thanks," said Sheriff Jason.

"What are you going to do?" asked Lone Wolf.

"Nothing, they are a good shot, and they don't miss," said Billy.

"Hey you two, what is with the window watching?" asked Henry.

"Well those two guys we saw sitting at the general store, they're still there waiting for me to come out so they can put a bullet in my head," said Billy.

"Well that won't happen in my town," said Jason.

"They don't care, they want me dead," said Billy.

"Why?" asked Red Bear.

"During a train robbery, I skipped out on them and took the money they had stolen, and I cam here to Montana, they know you too Lone Wolf, they read about you in the papers," said Billy.

"So they want me dead too," said Lone Wolf.

"Yes," said Billy.

Jason," said Lone Wolf.

"Alright, I will tell the towns-folk to get inside the buildings, it will make those guys uneasy," said Sheriff Jason.

"While the townspeople are running, we'll run with them to hide, Lone Wolf you go up on the roof, and Red Bear you go on that roof across the street, because I know they will watch each other's back," said Billy.

"Bob and I will go into the alleyways," said Henry.

"Good, we have a plan," said Billy.

So Sheriff Jason came out and yelled for everybody to go inside, he ran also, they quickly got up and started looking. Everybody was in position. Eddie and Ray were standing in the middle of the street looking around.

"Billy t," said Eddie.

Billy opened the window.

"What do you want?" asked Billy.

"Nothing we just want you to come out," said Ray.

"I'm not going anywhere," said Billy.

"Where are your friends?" asked Eddie.

" I don't know," said Billy.

"You still owe us that five-thousand-dollar you stole from us," said Ray.

"Is that so," said Billy.

"Yes," said Ray.

Red Bear saw two other men trying to sneak over to the jailhouse. Red Bear whistled like an owl, Henry herd it and looked up at Red Bear. Red Bear whistled again twice, to Henry that meant two men were coming close. So, Henry turned around and faced the end of his pistol towards the opening as did Bob. Lone Wolf watched Eddie and Ray very carefully.

The other two men were still walking up to the jailhouse and right when they came to the opening Henry and Bob shot them, Lone Wolf quickly came out from hiding and shot Eddie from the front, Red Bear shot Ray in the back. All the townsfolk came out. Jason walked out and told his deputies to go out and bury them, so they buried them outside of town.

"You don't have to worry about them anymore," said Red Bear.

"No I guess I don't any more thanks to you guys," said Billy.

"No problem," said Lone Wolf.

They went back to working on the jailhouse. Lone Wolf was painting the flower bed boxes under the windows.

"Hi Lone Wolf," said Ann holding flowers to put some in the flower boxes and another girl was holding more flowers.

Billy poked at Red Bear, pretending to clean the windows. Both girls started to smile.

"Hi Ann, what brings you over here?" asked Lone Wolf.

"My friend and I brought flowers to put in the flower boxes," smiled Ann.

"Oh that is nice of you, well I just finished painting so go ahead and place the flowers in there," said Lone Wolf.

"Thank you," smiled Ann.

So they put the flowers in the flower boxes.

"Well we better get going," said Ann.

"Oh okay, see later," said Lone Wolf.

Lone Wolf walked back inside and Red Bear was wiping the window and Billy was sweeping near the window.

"Alright you two, how long?" asked Lone Wolf.

"Long enough to see that girl is waiting on you to say something to her," said Billy.

"Billy you know me, she's a nice girl but…"

"But she's not Native," said Billy.

"Yes," said Lone Wolf.

"Alright you two leave him alone," said Henry.

They worked until in the nighttime and they jumped on their horses and rode back home, once arrived they all took showers and went to bed.
