Playing Villain

She watched her leave, very much lost in her thoughts as she pondered what she was supposed to do. The girl had a lot of good points but she didn't appreciate her making him look like a demon. Maybe he had his fair share of his own heartbreaks but it did not matter right now.

He liked her and that was all that she was willing to focus her mind on. The real problem was if she was doing the right thing but going into this. She had only been heartbroken one time and it was not pretty. 

Her high school sweetheart was the captain of the football team and even though she had let a fairytale carry her away once; she was not willing to do that again this time. That was why she was not willing to play that risky game again. She had never taken a chance after that.
