Drenched In Regret

Ella sighed as the taxi driver drove to the destination she had told him to. She felt bad but she hated that it had made her seem like he very milestone she was hoping not to hit. She had hurt someone that didn't deserve it and as much as she wanted to tell herself that she did not mean to, the fact stacked against her. She had done it knowing that he would end up getting hurt. 

She wanted to let other things invade her thoughts but she felt too guilty to simply take her mind of it. She should have just focused on her work rather than give her dating side a chance again. But the problem was she couldn't think about work with Joey coming to mind. It was hard to accept that this was what the norm was now. Why was she so affected by someone that didn't give two shits about her anyway? They didn't have any relationship, she told herself. It was stupid to say it out loud.
