One Night Stand

"Shut Up Shruti! You know I can't do that to you. I Love you baby! Trust me she is just a friend."''

I was trying to convince my girlfriend who was continuously blaming me that I had an affair with my college friend Rashmi..

"Stop it Abhi!! I know you are lying. You have been with her since college. I was an idiot. I believed you. I thought you are different than other guys but you are Just like them. You are playing with my feelings."

She said that while trying to gett up from the couch..

These are her arguments Every time we fight. She used to blame me for having an affair with different girls and I used to convince her that I wasn't cheating on her. I was actually getting tired of these discussions.

I knew a new cycle in that relationship will start. Shruti would break up and will return the ring and then she would go home and I would beg for her and then again she will forgive me and after a month when everything would go smoothly and I would decide to finally make a plan of getting marry her sooner she would ruin everything.

Last weekend I was planning everything with my college friend Rashmi. She is my best friend and we have more a friends bonding rather than a GF BF. I had never ever thought of that. She was going to Marry soon and she loved Rahul her fiancé but my GF was hell too unpredictable.

I mean at least just think what you are saying. I was too tired of her melodramas. I held her hand and pulled her back on couch.

"Stop it Shruti. You know I can't go away and I can't live without you. You are my life and my love. Come on let's not fight over this.'''' I kissed her hands I wanted this new clash to end as soon as possible.

"No. This is enough. I won't ever forgive you. You have to stay away from me. I am breaking up with you. Take your ring back."''

As expected. I was looking at the ring.

I don't know whether I actually love her or not but I can't definitely risk this breakup. Her Dad and My Dad are really close friends and my Dad had agreed to make me the next CEO of his company on one condition that I have to marry Shruti Roy. This was totally a business deal but I was trying to make it great between me and Shruti.

She is really nice and a beautiful girl but being the youngest daughter in her family she became too stubborn and arrogant. I don't give a damn to other girls. I too have a standard but Shruti was testing my patience again and again.

"Stop it now. Please don't go.''''

She didn't listen and got up and she left the bar. I was thinking of following her but I knew she won't stop so I stayed there and was holding my vine glass when someone held me from my collar. I looked up and it was Rahul.

"What the hell??? What's your girlfriend saying??? You are in love with Rashmi? What the hell dude???''''

I got really mad listening to that. I wanted to hit him hard but I just pushed him away off my collar. I can't bear that.

"Wait Rahul. Listen to me before you say anything let me explain. Its a misunders.....!"

Before I completed my sentence he punched me hard on my face. He was crossing all the limits. I lost my control and I kicked him hard and he fell on the ground and the next moment I was holding him from his collar.

"Don't you dare do that again. I swear I will forget who are you. "

Everyone was looking at us and meanwhile Rashmi held me from my arm.

"Abhi leave him. Please. Get up."

I got up and picked up a beer bottle and went out of the bar. I was looking for my car keys when I heard Rashmi.

"Would you please tell me what happened? Why were you beating him up???"

I was hell mad and I turned around and looked at her.

"Go ask him. You really think he trusts you???I told you that he doesn't like me. He was always insecure about your relationship. But you were so positive. Now look what happened??? He never had accepted our friendship Rashmi. He was just pretending to be a good guy. I can't explain more. I want to leave now. Go ask him."

"This isn't true. " She almost cried while saying that.

"You think I would lie to you??? Well its up to you. I won't force you."

I hopped in the car and drove towards home. On the way I decided to not chase Shruti anymore. This was enough now. I stopped by a bar and I went in. The last thing I remember was that I was drinking too much. And only a glimpse of kissing someone. Nothing else. When I got up My head was aching. I was fully naked and besides me was lying a girl. I couldn't believe my eyes.

I got up and was still not believing my eyes. The girl was placing her head on my heart. Her face was covered with her hair. I thought she might be Shruti but she wasn't. I carefully moved her hair aside to see her face. But I lost my heart beat for a second after seeing that beautiful face. She was looking like a ray of morning sunlight in winter. In all that messy situation I was feeling so calm seeing her face. I actually forgot what happened to me.

I was staring at her face when my phone rang. She opened her eyes and those Hazel eyes were taking my breath away. I somehow cut the eye contact and she was looking confused too. She immediately got up while I was looking for my phone it was in my jacket and it was ringing away from the table.

Meanwhile I looked at her and she was fully naked too and she immediately wrapped the sheet around her and I looked away.

"I am so so sorry. I don't know what happened."

I was looking around and my phone ringing had stopped till then. I got up and she was looking away. I picked up my clothes that were in the room all around the couch and table lamp and still my jacket and shirt were missing.

I looked at the time. It was 9 o clock. I had an important meeting today. I can't be late. But before going away I wanted to ask about last night.

"Listen I am sorry I was drunk last night and I don't remember anything. Can you please tell me what happened?"

She was holding her head.

"I was drunk too and I can't remember anything. But now is not the time to discuss that. I have to go now. I don't know how you landed here in my apartment and I don't even know your name."

"My name is Abhishek." It was so awkward because I was introducing myself to a girl whom with I slept last night."

"I am Yukti."

Awkward silence and then I finally got up to take a shower.

" I will go away after the shower I promise."

I was still thinking about all that and was trying to remember everything but nothing was there. I was cursing myself for doing such thing. I although fought with Shruti but I never ever dreamt of betraying her or cheating on her.

Whatever happened It was totally wrong. I was thinking of clearing everything with her. I didn't want any troubles in my life. I didn't know how would I explain this to Shruti if she finds out anything about this. She can't even see me touching any other girl and this was a bloody one night stand and not with a known friend but with a stranger.

I was playing with my thoughts and after shower I got out and she wasn't in the room. I immediately grabbed all my stuff and went out and she was getting out of the other room. She had taken a shower too and she was looking too hot in those wet hair. I hardly stopped looking at her.

"I don't know what to say. I mean I don't know what happened. I hope so it would have been great. "

I was jumbling words to talk to her in a decent way.

"Forget what happened between us. Thankfully we bother don't know about last night. It just happened. I don't know who you are and I am not interested in knowing that and I hope you won't bother looking for me again. "

Woooh that was hell too straight. I was absorbing her words and looking at her face when she finally spoke again.

"Are you planning to stay here for another night?"

She asked while raising her eye brows.

"No, You are taking me wrong. I am not like those guys."

"Then why are still standing here. You can leave now. Mr. Abhishek or whatever your name is."

"Oh sorry. I am leaving."

While I was heading towards the door the door bell rang. I stopped and was about to open when she stopped me.

"Wait."

She ran towards the door and looked outside and she was looking worried.

"Oh no. You can't go now."

She said while pushing me backwards.

"What? Do you want me to stay for another night?"

I was just mocking her the way she did a few minutes ago.

"Shut up. Don't talk rubbish. Its my boyfriend at the door. You have to hide."

"What?"

"Don't ask too many questions. You can't go now. Hide somewhere. Go now."

"Its your house mam. Where should I hide? You tell me?"

She was looking worried so I wanted to cooperate. I might have reacted same way if Shruti would have been here. She asked me to hide in her cupboard.

I hid myself there and she went out of the room to open the door. I was able to hear their voices. I stayed there and then I saw them coming to the room. He was looking a cool dude. Wearing a formal outfit in the morning. He must be working in a office and by his attitude he was looking like a CEO type something.

She was opening the draws and finally she took out some files and gave it to him. He smiled and after kissing her he went out. She followed her and after that he came back and Opened the cupboard.

"I am so sorry but I hope you understand. "

"Its okay. I understand. Can I ask you something?"

"Yes?"

"Who is he?"

"He is Vikram Malhotra. CEO of Malhotra group of industries."

"But wasn't Mr. Sunil the CEO?"

"He was his Dad. Now he is taking over the company. He had just completed his studies from abroad and came back to take care of his Dad's business."

"Okay." Malhotra group of industries had always been our biggest competitors.

"Can I leave Now?"

"Yeah sure."

I went out and thankfully my Car was parked there. I didn't know who brought it there but I was satisfied. I immediately drove to my office. I was hoping for not getting anymore surprises but I was wrong. I thought I was meeting with Yukti for the last time but I was wrong. I was going to meet her really very soon and right in front of my girlfriend.
