Chloe's Point of View
The moment Jonathan walked out of the office, I felt a rush of panic surge through me. My thoughts spiraled in every direction—what did he mean by "settling this once and for all"? What was my father planning now, and how deep was Jonathan willing to go to stop him?
I couldn't sit still. Every instinct in me screamed to chase after him, but I knew Jonathan. He was a man of power, a man of control. If he wanted something done, he'd do it his way—ruthlessly, without hesitation.
Still, I had to do something.
I grabbed my coat and rushed out of the office, my mind racing. I needed answers. Answers about my father, about Jonathan, and about the game they were playing with my life.
But as I reached the elevator, a voice stopped me in my tracks.
"Going somewhere?"
