Present***

                             Melissa's pov

What l? When?"

"While you are sleeping" Melanie replied me slowly, her lips forming into a purse, her eyes watching my reaction at the same time.

"How can you allow just anyone in without my consent!" I tried not to sound angry but my voice was poorly disguised.

"I have my reason, you know," she answered, vaguely. I dropped the crop top I was holding and walked back to the bed without saying a word, I could sense my face turning pale, my eyes scanning the entire room but not for once gaze at Melanie who was sitting on the couch opposite me. Don't get me wrong, I am not angry, and that is what is  making me furious and also making me angry at the same time. After Melanie told me he came to check on me, I expected my system to go wild on hearing that, cursed him and blamed Melanie for allowing such a thing to happen, but none of it happened. I actually have to react like I was angry in order not to make Melanie get the wrong idea about me. Why am I feeling this way? This is someone that never did anything than hurting me, I find myself in a situation I can also explain. In a tight intersection, in which I have no escape route. For the next few minutes, we both stayed silent without saying a word to each other, I feel so bad for how I shouted at her earlier, she must be cursing herself silently, for allowing her to come visit me now.

"Melanie, I am sorry, I never meant to make you feel ba......

" Melissa, not again, I understand I am at fault," she cut me off, I raised my head to look at her, her face wearing a sorry look, I rolled my eyes at her, I don't want her to be  giving me that look as if she did something very bad to me. I sighed deeply, flashing her a smile which she  returned with a grin, we both laughed loudly at the same time at our childish behaviour. At that present moment, I have totally forgotten everything I was thinking before, There is no doubt that Melanie has been a great impact in my life, the only friend I have since my childhood, the only friend that always stand up for me.

" You are weird, you know," I muttered, still trying to stop myself from laughing further. At last, Melanie also stopped laughing and wore the serious face she was wearing before, again.

"But, why did you do that, if I may ask?" I asked, all my attention fully engrossed in her face, waiting for what she had to say.

She cleared her throat, a smile forming on her lips, but immediately disappeared when I shot her a deadly glare.

" You don't have to give me that look"

"Then start talking"

Sigh," I'm the one that called him to come over" she paused, "I know something happened between you guys yesterday night, but I won't ask about your private chat" she winked, I angrily picked the throwing pillow that was lying beside me and throw it at her, she is note faster than I thought because she easily Dodge it before it could hit her face....

"Nothing happened between us, don't get the wrong idea" I warned.

" But, you keep saying his name while you're sleeping, care to explain that  , Mam?" she gave me a monk bow, I hissed at her.

" What are you trying to say.... " I'm about to say the last word, before reality hits me, I mutter his name?  I buried my face into my palm in embarrassment, did I really do that?  I find it hard to believe it, I feel like the ground should open and swallow me immediately. How am I going to face him now? Gosh! This is driving me nuts. I can hear Melanie grinning in the background. I looked up to see her cold eyes. She tilted her head to the side and immediately covered her mouth with her palm, struggling to restrain herself from laughing...

"It's not funny, hope you don't tell him?" I asked, thinkingly, telling him would be the worst of all.

Grinning, " I'm very sorry"

"Sorry, for what?"

"I told him, and you even repeat  his name when he was with you"

"What!!!" I asked, vaguely. "Did I really say that?" I asked with my mouth wide open. Am still surprised at the accusations, Melanie nodded, and then told me she was telling the truth.

I stayed muted, lost of words, the only thing that is very glaring is that is getting out of hand, why him? The question won't stop popping up in my head.

" I remembered some bad stuff he did to me before leaving for Italy, am sure my brain could not take it out of my head, and that must have be the reason why am saying his name in my unconscious state" I spat out the few words i could think of.

" Are you sure that's all?" Melanie asked.

"What are you expecting me to say?"

" Your reaction say it all" she winked.

" Don't get the wrong idea" I hissed.

"I won't be surprised if you eventually end up developing  something for the guy you despised"

" Don't even dive into that, I got nothing to do with him,"

"Really?"

"I would rather go for a honest guy like......"

"Who?"

"Draven"
