Why won’t you just die 2
Martha entered the living room. She bowed to Pearl who was watching Tv, the 'banana smoothie' on the table before her.
"...She's arrived boss"
"I hope no one saw her on her way to school and back"
".....No one Boss"
"Where is she"
Sophia comes in at that moment.
She was in a crop top and matching pants that hugged her waist very tightly but was loose down, tight at the ankles again. Then she wore her favorite stilettos.
Pearl dismissed Martha at that moment.
"Sis. How was your day" Pearl drily asked watching as Sophia sat back on the couch.
"Stressful. I can't wait to tell you all about it. So the thing is...."
"Uh...." Pearl lifts the glass. "Why not tell me that 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 you drink this refreshing banana smoothie. I made it myself"
"Banana?!" Sophia swipes the cup from her hands into hers. "I love banana. Thank You Pearl"
Pearl just smiled at her with all the false smile she could foster.
She almost leaned down to Sophia's face as Sophia held the cup to her lips.
Suddenly, Sophia pulled it away with a sulky frown.
"It smells funny"
Pearl pushed back the butt of the glass to her lips so that the lip of the cup almost kissed hers.
"Really Sophia. Don't you want to try out my banana smoothie? Forget about the smell. The taste is refreshing "
Then she pulled her hand back. Sophia laughed , jiggling the glass around.
"Remember that time dad tried to teach us how to cook and when we did try how to cook one day, the smell was so mesmerizing but the taste was something else???" Sophia laughed.
Pearl rolled her eyes. "Yeah. Yeah. I remember. Now don't laugh that much. Drink your smoothie"
But Sophia laughed so hard that the glass fell from her hands, to the floor, smashing into several pieces.
Pearl stood up at once. She watched quietly as the yellowish liquid spread out, in a brownian-like motion around the floor.
She clenched her hands into a fist.
Sophia reduced her laughter to giggles. She didn't seem to mind that the glass had smashed on the floor.
She didn't even notice how violently her sister was trembling right now with clenched fists.
She covered her mouth with the back of her hand and giggled some more.
"....Look how clumsy I am. Pearl can you make another banana smoothie for me? And this time, don't make it smell funny again" She giggled some more.
"You Idiot" Pearl growls as she faces her.
Sophia stopped giggling that instant. She looked into her sister's face and all she could see was anger, frustration and hatred. Pure hatred burning in her eyes like fire.
"Make you another smoothie? Do you really think it was that easy huh?"
"Pearl I don't get why you're making such a big deal out of this. Calm down"
"I can't calm down okay? I'm freaking out. I've tried everything. Everything I could to kill you but you wouldn't just die.."
Sophia creased her face into a frown.
".....I thought that ..that.....as I got rid of Dad easily, I could do the same to you..."
Something broke in Sophia's system. She wasn't sure what it was. But it hurt her. So bad....
"You killed Dad??"
Tears ran down the two sister's eyes.
"I didn't want to but he left me no choice. He loved you Sophia. More than me. He trusted you. More than me. But I never believed he could do something so unfair as to sign most of his properties under your name. He left such a meager thing for me and gave you the lion's share of his properties" Sophia's vision was blurred by tears in her eyes as she watched Pearl. "....So that's why I killed him. I'm much more prettier than you. I'm smarter and I'm much more experienced in the world of business. I'm the older one. So why did he have to do this to me????"
Sophia said nothing, shaking her head in disbelief.
"....That's why I decided that I had to kill you" She comes close to Sophia and Sophia found herself....stepping back, away from her .....voluntarily.
".....I tried many ways to kill you. I even tried to poison you" She points at the mess on the floor. "But you wouldn't just die" Suddenly she screamed at Sophia making her jump. "Why won't you just die???!?"
