Eating for two (A month later)

Angel was in the kitchen, watching Jason as he made her a sandwich.

She went behind him and peered from under his arm.

"You should add more Mayo....and baloney. Make it three"

Jason amusingly did so.

"I thought you hated Mayo. You've been eating weirdly for a couple of weeks. Aren't you afraid of getting fat"

"You think I'm getting fat??" Angel almost gasped.

"You will if you keep eating like this. I mean you just had lunch a few minutes ago and you're still hungry"

Angel scowled at him. "I won't"

Jason handed her the plate of sandwich. "Here"

Angel grabbed it and devoured it hungrily before him. Jason stared on open-mouthed.

When she was done, Jason lifts her up in his arms suddenly.

"Okay now.....I have things to get back to at the office....So I'll just drop you off in your room"

Angel giggled hysterically as she grabbed his shoulders with her two hands. Then she sulked like a little baby.

"You always leave me all alone and go to work. Tell me...are you not the CEO. Why do you have to leave me here all the time. Veronica goes to work. Janvier goes to school with Nathaniel while Mum sleeps all day. I'm always left alone in the house. Please don't leave me"

Jason had made to drop her on the bed but she had wrapped her hands around his neck very tight. She wasn't willing to let go.

"Okay... I'll stay with you for a while but I really have to get back to work. I'm the CEO but that doesn't mean everything will go the way I want if I just stay at home"

Angel seemed to comply and she released him a bit and let him drop her on the bed casually.

Jason then hopped in bed beside her. He looked into her eyes and caressed her face with his hands but all he got was a growl from her stomach.

.....Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Jason looked at her.

"...Don't Tell me you're still hungry"

Angel just blinked at him innocently.

"Ok. I won't"

Jason rolled his eyes. He stands up immediately. "Don't move I'll be back. I'll make you another...."

"Not sandwich. I want a burger. A large steaming one with fries. Oh!! and it should have enough meat in it. Lots and lots of it"

Jason gaped at her

"...Babe. Are you sure you're okay"

"If you want me to be okay...Would you just go already. I'll be waiting"

Angel looked away now hiding a smile while

playing with her hair

Jason left the room, thinking of where he would get a burger. He was usually the....order-everything-from-online kind of guy but he knew Angel won't be patient enough to wait for an order. So he had to go to an eatery.

Angel smiles as she rubs her tummy.

'..Why won't I eat this much. After all I am pregnant. I'm literally eating for two....'

She smiled to herself. When she got tired of waiting and her stomach kept rumbling, she. decided to come downstairs and look for a snack.

As she descended the stairs, she found herself getting weaker with each step. When she reached the third to the last step, she had become so dizzy that she swayed uncontrollably, darkness hovering around her.

Unable to hold herself anymore, She fell and rolled down to the last step and became unconscious.
