Chapter 18: Everyday life and trip planning (Flashback Starts here)

Bharat was an ordinary boy of seventeen years of age studying in class twelfth in an English medium school scoring average marks in his school. He had a very cute family which included his Mom, Dad and himself. His other relatives were in the city while he lived with his parents in Rajgarh Town which was a small town in West Bengal near the coastal area which was almost 200 km from Rajgarh Metro City. The reason they lived in Rajgarh Town was basically because of his Dad's posting in this city. Bharat's dad Mr. Brahma was an employee of IPB (International Premier Bank) so naturally his schooling and education was also done here. Bharat's family was not a very rich family however due to his dad working in a prestigious bank like IPB bank they were considered to be a middle class family. Hence they were able to afford a good school for Bharat and lived not a very luxurious but a very comfortable and respectful life. His parents used to love and pamper him a lot and simultaneously used to act very strictly towards him if he did some mischief or he was in the wrong. His dad was very stubborn regarding his basic principles about honesty, devotion to his work, simple living and high thinking and has a helping attitude towards his colleagues. He used to love his family a lot, especially his only son. So he made sure that he can provide the best of everything to his son. His mom Mrs. Arundhati was a typical housewife who loved her family and looked after them. She was also a very religious mother and used to do puja at home every morning and evening and taught her son all the good values of life and to be a good human and responsible citizen of India.

 Like all teenagers Bharat used to love reading story books and comics, watching cartoons and animations, and playing video games with his friends. He was a very introverted kind of boy who had a very limited circle of friends among them Abhimanyu was one of his closest friends. He used to hang out with Abhimanyu a lot playing video games, sitting together in class and looking out for each other when in trouble and standing for each other. Even when they were at home they used to talk for hours on the phone before sleep. Apart from Abhimanyu he has three more friends which are Karthik, Aarav and Pallavi.

Pallavi was Bharat's love interest and was his girlfriend for the last two years. Both of them had feelings for each other and used to hang out together if they got the chance. Bharat used to love her so much that he used to buy presents for her with the little bit of pocket money which he got from his parents.

Tomorrow was 23 January Saturday which was Bharat's Birthday and he was going to become eighteen years old tomorrow so he was very excited about it and was planning his next day with his dear friend Abhimanyu over the phone.

Abhimanyu receives the call "Hello! Dude, so how was the exam today."

Bharat says "Hi Abhimanyu! Not such a good exam friend. This year's unit test math's paper was very tough."

Abhimanyu says comforting "Do not worry dude it was supposed to be tough since just two months later in March we have our twelfth board exams so they made it difficult purposely this time so that everyone could prepare themselves better for the actual exam."

Bharat sighs "Naah!! I am not thinking about it now since the unit test exam is just over today and tomorrow is my Birthday which I am looking forward to after months of studying and hard work for this unit test exam"

Abhimanyu approves "Exactly dude I agree with you even I was looking forward to your birthday party since it is going to be a break after a long time and finally we will have some fun which will relax our minds before we start off preparations for the Board Exams"

Bharat and his friends lived in sector ten along with their families which was at the border of Rajgarh town from where it takes approximately less than thirty minutes walking distance to reach the hills. After crossing the hills there comes the forest and then the farm land for farming and after that there comes the Rajgarh village and after the village there is Sone Lake.

Bharat excitedly says "So friend I have got an amazing idea. I think apart from the party in the evening we should also go for some trekking in the morning in the nearby hills in the forest and carry our breakfast with us so that we can enjoy nonstop the whole morning after all it takes only half an hour from our colony to reach the hills."

Abhimanyu exclaims "Dude so if we spend five to six hours trekking in the hills then we should start at seven am in the morning and we will return by one pm in the afternoon."

The forest and the hills were almost harmless since there were almost no dangerous creatures to be found so people and children usually come here to spend some good time for picnics, fun and adventure. Also parents allowed their children knowing that they will be safe.

Bharat says "So let's conference Karthik, Aarav and Pallavi and discuss the amazing plan with them."

So Abhimanyu conferences Karthik, Aarav and Pallavi and informs them about their exciting plan for tomorrow morning apart from the Birthday party in the evening.

Bharat says informing about the grand plan: "Hello Guys! Abhimanyu and I were discussing tomorrow morning. Since our second unit test of this year is already over today so I was wondering if we can go for a trekking or picnic tomorrow morning to relax our minds and a reward for the hard study we have been through for last three months which will relax our minds to again run for a marathon study for one month till our boards exam. What do you guys think about this?"

Karthik says: "Yeah it will be a much awaited fun."

Aarav says: "Right bro this is after all a long time since we will have some breather to relax our mind"

Pallavi says: "Yes absolutely also we will get to enjoy the calm and refreshing atmosphere of greenery in the lap of Mother Nature. It is going to be exotic, interesting and a bit adventurous."

Abhimanyu says: "So Guys remember that we have to bring breakfast with us since we will go out at seven am so we may not get the time to prepare much hence it is best to bring dry foods with us and adequate amount of water nothing much since we will return maximum within five to six hours"

Apart from the forest and hills in the farmland farmers used to keep trained dogs to keep their farmlands safe so that no trespassers could come to their territory and steal from them. If a person is caught by those dogs then the person will be severely injured apart from getting a chance to get affected by rabies which people get after a dog bite. These dogs were powerful and trained dogs. They just bite whichever part of the body comes first and take out a mouthful of flesh.
