Calhoun was taken aback hearing this. He was ready to get a good round of scolding, but never thought his father would come and say all this.
What Jayen did next surprised him even further. Calhoun was now engulfed in his father's hug. It had been very long since he had got this hug.
The last time he remembered was when he was almost ten. Jayen hugged him when he was going to academy for the first time.
"F-Father." Calhoun stammered and hugged his father back. How can he let go of this wonderful moment.
"F-Father. I am sorry. I will never run away. I promise." Calhoun said and his eyes watered a bit, but he blinked them away.
