Mohit's POV

Everyone was so happy and I was very relaxed and happy to see them like this.

They all were chattering about wedding plans as if mom and daadi were absolutely fine sitting at their home.

Just then a nurse came in and said, "What is going on here?? This is a hospital. Ma'am, why are you in this room? Please go to your room and rest. "

" I am fine now, sister. I want to be in this room only. Don't worry, I will rest." Mom said.

" Doctor would come and scold me for letting you stay here. Please only one or two attendants are allowed. The rest of you please leave. " she said.

" I will request the doctor and would say it was my wish. You tried telling me to go to my room. " Mom said and the nurse left.

" You stay with them, I would go home for some time, kids must be coming home and I have a meeting at around 3 PM. " Viraj said to Maya

" I will be back by then, darling. " She hugged Viraj, he nodded and went out. I went out with him.

" I must say she seems to be a nice girl. I am happy for you. "

" Thanks... I want a quiet registered marriage. "

" After what I saw inside, do you think it would be possible. All the 3 women are over the board. They are going crazy. " He laughed shaking his head.

" I am glad they liked Srusti. "

" Liked?? Honestly after what that... The girl said yesterday, we all were shocked. Even before that we used to think that you were always surrounded by so many models, someday you would come and say that you wanted to marry one of them. But I must say you chose well. She looks like a very good girl. "

" She is... And she is a very good cook. Awesome. "

" Great !! Then call us for dinner, I want to eat something nice which is home-cooked. "

" Sure, but I would tell Maya that you said that. "

" Have mercy on me... That statement remains between just you and me.."

" Why ?? She is my sister, I am supposed to be on her side. " I smirked.

" Please, No... or I won't get food at all and would have to sleep in the guest room. "

" I would love to see that. " I said laughing.

" That's not fair. You are getting married but Your sister would either kill me or divorce me. "

" Ok fine... Don't worry, I like you a lot, so won't tell Maya. I will invite you soon. " I said and we both laughed.

Srusti's POV

Everyone was so good to me. Once Viraj Ji and Mohit went out, Maya asked me, " So how and when did you both meet?? "

" About 2 months back. We had an accident, actually, he hit me hard accidentally. I was talking on the phone and it was raining like cats and dogs. All of a sudden I realised that I forgot something and ran back towards the other side of the road. He was driving and as I came on the road running, he hit me. "

" Oh my God!! What happened then?" Aunty asked.

" I was unconscious, he picked me up, took me to the doctor and took care of me... And finally, we became friends. "

" Friends?? Hunh?? " Maya teased me. I saw Mohit entering the room again. He came and sat beside me. He was looking at me with amusement.

" We became friends first, so I said so. " I said but looked away from him as his smile always made me feel something.

" I am sorry to say this, but I am happy that you both met because of that accident. I think God wanted you to meet and fall in love that's why you had that accident. " Daadi ma said.

" Yeah... " Aunty said.

" Beta, what do your parents do?? We would like to meet them as soon as possible. " Daadi ma said and all of a sudden the smile on my face faded and my eyes started getting watery.

" Hey, what happened?? " Maya asked when she realised that I was about to cry.

" Mom, actually last year her parents died in a car crash. She just has an elder sister who is living abroad these days. " Mohit wrapped his arm around me. Tears started rolling out of my eyes.

" Oh, my poor child. Come to me. " Daadi ma said and I went near her. She hugged me lovingly. I started crying hugging her and she kept patting me.

" It's ok dear... You have us now. " Maya said with a smile and aunty caressed my face with a nod.

" I am sorry... For getting emotional. But you all are so loving that I missed my parents. "

" You don't need to be sorry beta, we understand. So I just wanted to know that should we talk to your sister about the wedding. "

" No, mom... They have not been so close... So it doesn't matter to them. " Mohit replied for me.

" Are you sure? " Aunty asked, I just nodded.

" Ok, so when do you want to get married?? "

" As soon as possible mom. May be coming Sunday. Please I don't want any guests. Strictly just our family, not even friends.

" Why?? " Aunty and daadi both said in unison.

" Mom, daadi, you wanted me to get married so I am getting married. Now if you want me to get married it has to be like this. Try to understand mom, her parents died last year only, she was still mourning, she won't feel good if there are many people at the wedding. If you want a grand wedding, then you have to wait for another year. "

" No, this is better. Sooner the better. We can have a grand party later after a few months. " Daadi maa said.

" Great !! So coming Sunday is good?? " Maya said with excitement.

" As soon as my girlfriend and mom are fine and dad is here. " Mohit said.

" Dad will be here by midnight. Mom and daadi are good now. But we would consult the doctor first. " Maya said and aunty nodded.

" I am absolutely fine now !! What would that doctor have to say, I am telling you.?? But what is the hurry?? Where do you live beta?? " Daadi ma asked. I didn't know what to say...

" Mom her home is in Punjab, but she could not live there since they died. She was living with her friend mom but about 3 days back, she has gone to Mumbai. So she went to live in a hotel. "

" Oh, God !! Why?? Go and get her stuff from there. " Daadi ma said.

" Yeah Daadi, when I got to know about it, I got her stuff to my place. "

" That's nice !! You are smart bro... " Maya winked at him.

" She is not happy about it. She thinks it is not right. But at least I got to eat the awesome food cooked by her. " Mohit said.

" So she was at your home for the last 3 days?? " Aunty asked.

" Umm... Yeah, mom. "

" So that is the reason, you did not want to meet the girl I selected? "

" Yeah... Sort of. " Mohit smiled running the back of his neck sheepishly.

" Great!! I am ok now. But you could have told us and bring her home. "

" How could I?? I was not sure of her feelings. But yesterday she had cooked dinner but just when I started eating it, Maya called up and I rushed here to see you both. And when I went back at around 4 in the morning, she was still waiting for me."

" Awww... " Why didn't you say anything last night?? " Maya asked.

" What I told you, that I had someone... I like her since that accident but was not sure about her. I had decided here in the hospital that I would tell her today that I like her but she was still there waiting for me so that she could ask about you and serve me food. So I could not control myself and I asked her and she accepted my proposal. I am glad that she loves me too. " He placed his arm around me and kissed on my head.
