Chapter 38

It's been three days since the suspension.

I haven't talked to Alex since the phone call on Monday, and now that it's Friday, it feels like a lifetime.

He's back at school today. Supposedly. I don't know for certain since I haven't seen him, and I haven't heard back from Savvy if she has. This is killing me. The not-knowing. I'm dying to talk to him, but I haven't been able to bring myself to call him again. He hasn't been online, and every time I tried to text him, I ended up deleting what I'd typed.

I just don't know what to say.

That's like, the worse excuse in the book, but it's true.

Alex broke up with Jessa - that's awesome. But it doesn't give me the green light. He hasn't said a word to me, hasn't reached out to me to offer his side. Nothing. I still don't know how he feels or what he wants because he hasn't told me. The best I can do is repeat myself - remind him what I want - which I plan on doing the next time I see him.
