The Salvatore Safe House. Zach Goes Home. Caroline Meets Freya.

She wanted friends and love. She found both in Klaus Mikaelson.

She wanted siblings, Klaus was ready to share his own.

She wanted a family, Klaus Mikaelson was ready to be her family.

He was holding Hope, and Caroline holding Zach, and they fell asleep on the couch. Holding the one year old kids, who weren't related at all, but were now siblings. To the world, they were fraternal twins.

Elijah Mikaelson looked at them, when he came inside. He smiled. It looked like a family.

This was all the Mikaelson Family needed. Being Family. He turned off the lights, and left.

After eight months of working hard to maintain an image of Zach Salvatore being dead. Caroline had Davina put a spell on Zach which was almost unbreakable.

Klaus Mikaelson arranged a safe house in a very small lowkey town.

Caroline Forbes was having a hard day. She was extremely happy that Stefan and Katherine were finally going to see their son again. She hated that he was going to be taken from her.

She was once again leaving New Orleans, and going back to Mystic Falls. And this time she was taking Zach back to his parents.

Davina Claire had casted a powerful spell on Zach Salvatore. It was a spell even she couldn't break. It was a bond made with the Salvatore blood, the Mikaelson blood. Not even Davina herself could break the spell.

She took Zach Salvatore from the ground, he was running after Hope.

"Sweetie!" Caroline ran after him. "I'm sorry, but we have to go!"

"Mama.." He ran into Hayley's arms, she picked him up.

Caroline felt tears come to her eyes.

"Stefan's waiting, Hayley…" She told her, "We have to go."

Hayley nodded, she knew it was much difficult for Caroline to let go. She couldn't imagine how Caroline felt. Because she felt someone tore her heart from body.

Caroline took Zach from her hands.

"Ready to go, Love?" Klaus Mikaelson asked her.

"Yes…" Caroline told him. She picked her bag, and took him downstairs.

"Thanks…"

He had a car ready for her. Caroline put Zach in the car seat, and buckled in. Hope Mikaelson came running outside.

"Zach!.…" She wanted to say something.

Hayley came up behind her.

"I can't believe you are taking them away from each other!" Hayley told her.

"It's not my choice, Hayley…"

Caroline got in the car, "If it were up to me, I wouldn't let either of them out of my sight!"

She told Hayley.

"Za….Za." Hayley took her daughter in her arms, she started to cry. "Where is Zach?" She cried.

"I am sorry, littlest wolf." Klaus told his daughter. "But Zach Salvatore is going home!"

Klaus kissed his daughter's head.

"He's going home, sweetie."

"You remember what you have to do, Caroline!" Hayley shouted, "When you get back!"

"Rebuilding the Bayou!" Caroline shouted back. "I remember what I promised you."

"Thank you!" Hayley told her.

Caroline strapped the seatbelt and waved to Hope.

Caroline Forbes went to the town where Klaus had gotten a house for Katherine and Stefan. She got the whole house ready before Katherine and Stefan got there.

Zach was sleeping in the crib, when Stefan got there.

"Caroline?" He shouted,

"Shh!" Caroline told him. "Zach's sleeping!"

Katherine didn't look at Caroline, or the house. She went inside the room to see her son.

"Hello, Caroline!" Stefan whispered.

"Hello, Stefan Slavatore." She told him, "I haven't seen you in three years!"

She hugged him.

"You know, Stefan." She told him, "You have the most gorgeous little son ever!"

"I know…"

Caroline Forbes stayed in the house for a few weeks, helping Katherine and Stefan settle in.

Stefan couldn't help admiring how good she was with Zach.

She promised to come visit when she could.

Caroline Forbes came inside the Mikaelson Compound after a few weeks. After Zach got familiarized with Stefan and Katherine.

It took Hope two months to help her with losing her brother.

She felt it was safe to leave. She collided with a blonde woman.

"Oh...I'm sorry!" She told the woman. "Who are you?"

She asked her.

"I might ask you the same question!" She asked her.

"I am Caroline." Caroline told her.

"Freya Mikaelson!" The woman told her. "And I have heard a lot about you."

"Mikaelson?" Caroline was confused.

"I am the oldest of the Mikaelsons!" Freya told her.

Caroline laughed.

"Everytime I come here." Caroline explained. "I meet a new Mikaelson….So let me see if I got this right!"

Freya looked at her.

"Freya, Finn, Elijah, Klaus, Kol and then Rebekah." Caroline counted them all. "Did I get it right?"

She asked. Freya nodded.

"Have you seen Klaus?" She asked. "I texted him….But I don't know where he is."

She asked.

"I think he is with Hope," Freya told her, "Something about Candy Time of the week."

Caroline nodded. She knew what candy time of the week was. She was the one who had invented it. The kids were only allowed to have candy on a day every week. It saddened her that Zach Salvatore wasn't here. But glad that Stefan was finally reunited with his son. Even if it meant she will never be able to see Stefan or his son ever again, even though she promised to visit soon.

"Okay…" Caroline told her, "Thanks, if you see him, could you tell him that I came home, but I am supposed to be in Bayou.

Hayley asked me to organize to build better houses."

She told Freya.

"I'll be back in four hours." She told Freya. "The first shipment comes today, and I need to find a good place to keep all the things."

Freya Mikaelson stood there, looking at Caroline go, her hair bobbing up and down.

She couldn't believe Klaus Mikaelson was in love with this mellow, sweet, beautiful…but still a neurotic control freak kind of a girl. She also couldn't understand how this girl had fallen for the madman people claimed her brother was.
