Chapter 5 New Mission

I was walking with my mother while thinking about what happened before. From my parents' expression, I knew that this is not something going easy. I also knew that I would probably not see the priest anymore. He seemed a nice old man but then I shook my head and stopped thinking about it.

I am no longer in a previous world where there are proper law and order. King can do whatever he wants even if he has to kill his own siblings to cut the competition.

"Still confused about that incident?"

Mother stopped for the moment and asked me. I nodded since I also wanted to know if it was a rare case.

She sighed and bent down on one knee to reach my height and spoke, "You remembered about the dragon and divine attribute right?"

I nodded. I knew where this is going but I decided to remain silent and let her continue.

"Their origin is another matter but the thing is these attributes are very hard to achieve. Some rare cases included near-death moments or very high mental breakdown. I don't know what happened but you either have a very high dragon or divine attribute."

I knew it. I mean Gilgamesh was 2/3rd god but I don't know what is the meaning of divinity here.

"Probably wondering what divinity is, right?"

I have to say that she is good at reading people.

"Yeah, but I am already tired of all the boring lectures." I want to go to my room and check the system as soon as possible.

"Fufu, I knew it. Let's have a family feast." She said then we walked back to the castle.

I am finally backed to my room after eating a lot. The feast was just spicy meat and mutton dishes with my family. I don't know why but I have a gut feeling that my existence was being kept secret for some reason.

Except for some maids, I didn't see any official till now. My moments were also being observed from the look of maids but I didn't mind this kind of behavior. If a king and his wife are cautious for his son then I can't do anything. I just hope that they don't restrict my highly unlikely progress.

Wow and damn! My parameters are not bad considering I am only a 4 years old child.

I guess parameters are based on the FGO system where parameters are measured in ranks then numerical values which are simple and easy.

There are two different "modifiers" that can be applied to ranks, + and -. The "+" modifier represents the capacity of a temporary/permanent boost in power, allowing a weapon or ability of a lower rank to surpass a higher rank for a moment. While a B is generally weaker than an A, B+ may momentarily exceed A by doubling its own power.[1] + indicates a two-times increase, ++ indicates a three-times increase, and +++ indicates a four-times increase. The "-" modifier indicates a rank which has a number that is not reliably stable, technically qualifying for that rank, but not quite reaching the rank in terms of power or ability and possibly being even closer to the next rank down. My parameters fell somewhere between them. The only difference is that modifiers in parameters are permanent.

My abilities were also similar to Child Gil with certain differences. For some reason, I don't have [Golden Rule] or [Independent Action].[ Independent Action] is fine since I am not a servant so I don't require magic power from a master but not having [Golden Rule]? I don't know anything about it.

[Appraisal] is the only ability that didn't exist in nasuverse but I have it. Good, I can finally see the level of my parents.

Let's see the description of these rules and how should I level them up.

[Stats: It represents the total grade of your body. It can be rank up based on the action of your body. For example, fast running might help you to level your Agility rank.

Strength represents the power of your physical body as well as muscles. It can be enhanced by various kinds of exercises.

Mana is the quality and quantity of magic powers in your body. I can be enhanced by meditation or other magic enhancing techniques.

Endurance is the resistance against physical as well as magical attacks. It automatically upgrades with attacks you endure in battle or your training.

Agility is the speed and mobility of your body. It can be enhanced from fast running.

Luck plays an important part in your life. In battle, it increases the chances of your accurate target or chances of evading

Noble phantasm is the ultimate attack from weapons or abilities or weapon/ability itself. Anything that comes from your Gate of Babylon can be regarded as Noble Phantasm considering you have full control over it.

[Level: Level explains the terms of your strength to others. For example, if one person has Strength A at level 10 and another person has the same Strength A at level 15, the latter will be stronger.

There are two methods of leveling up.

The first is general age. Every human will gain a level per year till they reach age 20 considering perfect health.

The second method is gaining experience. Experience is anything when you learn new things. However, the general way of gaining experience in battle. When you kill/defeat someone or something, it gives you experience depending on the level of someone or something.]

[Title: It refers to the term that people may refer to you. It is created automatically depending on the perception of people about you. It gives certain perks.]

[Skills/Abilities: Skills are created based on the aspects of your body or your actions. Skills are invisible whereas abilities are visible. Conditions for acquiring them vary.]

[Missions: Missions are tasks set to give you a suitable goal to guide you in becoming strong. It doesn't bind your actions but the ultimate loss that you will suffer will still come. For example, if the mission requires you to evacuate Uruk within a certain time from the incoming flood with the penalty of population reduction of Uruk or death, it is up to you whether you stay or evacuate from the city. If there is a chance that you can make a barrier to prevent such disaster, the mission will be made accordingly.]

This explains a lot of things. I guess it is pretty much like Gamer manhwa that I used to read but glad that it doesn't make me a full-fledged gamer. I can't be a gamer because I can only be a king.

'Hey system, can you answer my questions?'

I wanted to know if this system is similar to fanfics where it becomes a pain in the ass for MC.

Yeah, I can't be hasty. My intuition is telling me that I should take things slowly and move carefully. It is not easy to just start to train on my own. It is a foreign world with a different set of rules and morals. One single move can cause my parents to doubt me which wouldn't be good.

Besides, I have to acquire information first and convey my plans in such a way that others think that I came with the idea after working hard.

I can't be Roland Wimbledon (MC release that witch) and just start industrialization here. I know the mechanics of a simple steam engine along with many other inventions but I can't just start making them without any apparent reason. By the way, the toilet exists! Anyway, I have decided to slowly train and study for the time being. I am a little scared but also excited to see what this world has to challenge me.
