Sect leader Damien (2)

"Last chance for you to reconsider invader. Leave peacefully now with your life and honour intact." Muvolik said. We stood in the training grounds with lots of people watching from the sidelines.

"You insult your sect leader. How dishonorable! Since I am so kind if you defeat me then I will apologise to you. I will even give you a handicap and use no weapons or limbs besides my legs." I replied. The first step to any fight was to always get into the opponent's head and I was doing exactly that. I didn't know how strong he was but surely he couldn't be that strong if his clan was this small.

"I'll make sure you regret saying that." Muvolik said as he brandished his sword.

"Then come at... or are you to scared to?" I chuckled and stretched my limbs. I could see veins popping out of his head but it was really amazing to see how he controlled himself unlike Stuart Graham.

He raised his sword and a breeze filled the air. The breeze turned into a gust of wind before turning into a violent and powerful gust of wind.

"Are you regretting your words now?" he asked with a smile on his face.

I stopped playing around as it was getting boring. I charged at him and jumped in the air and launched an axe kick which he dodged. I had gotten tired if waiting.

This was like in video games when you pick the easiest mode and the AI opponent just stood still and only attacked after a while of you staying still.

Case in point, he spoke to much and was starting to bore me.

As soon as my kick landed on the floor he spun around and swung his sword towards my neck. I casually dodged and kicked him in the chest sending him flying a few metres back.

He quickly recovered and charged at me all within 2 seconds. He thrust his sword towards my stomach and I moved my hips from side to side casually dodging. His attacks lacked speed and focus.

I kicked him in the face and appeared behind him and raised my leg into the air and slammed him down to the ground with an axe kick. He had dodged the first one but not the second one.

I was happy that I had finally managed to do it in an actual fight. Performing an axe kick perfectly on your opponent gave the same serotonin rush as performing a WWE body slam.

The floor was cracked and he led face down with blood on the ground.

I placed my hands behind my back and walked away. "Get him some medical assistance." I said.

I stopped in my tracks as soon as I heard heavy breathing and the gasping of the crowd. I turned back and saw Muvolik standing. He charged forward and swung his sword recklessly. I moved expertly out of the way. Swings from the left, right, diagonals and thrusts. I was the focus of all of them and yet not a single time once did it even graze me.

"I grow weary of this charade." I said as I spun on one foot 3 times with my left leg and kicked him in the neck with my right. He collapsed to the ground and I managed to kick his sword away that he would have fall on top of considering the way it was positioned.

It was bright early morning, 7 o'clock according to my phone. I was being dressed in the most expensive and beautiful garments available in the sect. It wasn't quite that expensive but it still expensive and beautiful.

The maids who were putting my clothes on for me finished and held a mirror so that I could admire myself. I had even made people with menial jobs such as maids, cooks and cleaners train. I wanted a stronger clan if I chose to stay longer.

"This will do!" I said. Instead of the sandals however I put on the basketball shoes that I had stolen from the ninja.

As I went outside I thought for a while. I was going to greet my family. This wasn't some random family that I just decided to adopt but they were related to me through blood. I should at least make an impression on them.

I needed a grand entrance. Maybe not grand but something memorable. I could arrive with maids carrying me in a golden chamber. No, this sect was too broke for that.

"Are you sure about this Sect leader?" Gulk asked me. He was the previous sect leader and the elder brother of Muvolik.

"I'm not sure." I replied as the donkey on my back brayed loudly. I needed something that caught peoples attention and made them remember me. For centuries if possible.

"I do not think that it is a good idea Sect Leader. This indeed does draw attention but... it looks quite ridiculous and uncouth!"

I let go of the donkey and thought for a minute. "What? I think I have an idea! since everyone is making grand entrances or doing something memorable, acting normal should make me stand out more no?"

"No... I don't think that is a goo-" Gulk's eyes widened and nodded. "That is a splendid idea." He said.

"Hooman that is a terrible idea." I quickly shook the bag and insulted the dumb lion. No one asked him for his opinion.

I climbed on top of the donkey and set of for the canary clan residence. I was quite interested in meeting whatever remained of my family after the hostile takeover.

The Canary clan head had been poisoned and was kept underground for nearly a decade. His wife, my mother had married the invader so that her two children could live. Yes, it was sad and all but I did not care. I only came for something that I was owed. The family martial arts. I coveted it and I was going to take it.
