Muvolik could not believe what he just witnessed. His eyes saw one thing however his brain refused to believe. Just how exactly had he done that. Damien had only seen Muvolik perform it shabbily and yet he was able to perform it easily.
"So what do you think?" Damien asked. His question was directed towards the two of them.
"I would say you have performed it pretty well." The lion said. "I have seen my previous masters perform this technique a lot of times and if I compare it to them I would rate you an 7 out of 10 with room to improve"
Damien nodded and then glanced at Muvolik.
"I... don... I don't know!" he said in astonishment. He was more confused by the lions words 'room for improvement'. Just how was that possible? Room for improvement? No, he had already reached perfection from Muvolik's eyes.
"Whatever," Damien said. "From now on this is your training ground. You will sleep here, cook food here and fight these creatures while using your techniques. Both of you can not leave this hill, if you do. Well... let's just say that you will be courting death. Any questions?"
Muvolik and the dumb lion could not believe what they heard. He wanted them to train here. The creatures here were dangerous and they had barely escaped with their lifes earlier on. Immediately Muvolik raised his hand.
"Put your hand." Damien said and so he did. "If there are no questions then I will be taking my leave." Damien then flew of. He looked like one of the nether kids from Peter Pan.
The clan pharmacy was packed like always. The amount of people outside had not decreased from the people outside yesterday.
Damien descended down. Immediately the people started talking. They had all seen him flying.
"Is that man flying?" A man asked.
"No he's just strolling in the air." His friend answered him sarcastically.
"Is that not the Sect Leader of the Dark Purple Rain Clan?"
"It is, I can't believe he has reached the realm of Jade Master."
"Jade master? What is that?"
"You don't know what the Jade master rank is? It is the third most powerful rank martial artists are capable of reaching. You can tell someone has reached it when they do things that defy common sense like flying, summoning giant suns from the sky and so on."
"Wow! He must be really strong then."
Meanwhile in the pharmacy there were several maids who were doing their best to deal with people. It was absolutely packed.
Bulk upon seeing Damien sighed and walked over.
"Sect leader, I have some bad news to tell you."
"The first thing you do when you see me is tell me bad news. How uncouth could you be? Tell me what is it."
"Ye... yes!" Bulk stammered. "We have run into some trouble. This city is plagued with many thugs and lowlifes. A certain group of them have decided they want a piece of our pie. They came here earlier on and said they wanted 30 percent of our profits every week if we want to continue doing our business here."
Damien stared at Bulk with a blank expression on his face.
"Is... Is that it?" he asked in confusion.
"Yes."
"Seriously? You made me think that we pissed of the Espada or something. Low class thugs like them are of no consequence to us."
"But Sect Leader... they are no ordinary thugs. They are part of the Sabre Fangs. It's an organized crime syndicate and many clans fear them as they show no mercy nor fear."
Damien held his forehead and sat down. "Another day another headache, well then, we just have to eliminate them all. Order our intelligence service to capture several members of the Sabre Fangs. I need to send a message to their leader. Make sure they are not seen nor found out."
"Yes sir." Bulk said as he ran of to do what he had been told.
"Sect leader..." A maid stood before Damien. She was a beautiful red head with several freckles and a pig tails.
"Yes?"
"I have some bad news to tell you..."
Damien let out a small growl which drew the attention of everyone in the Pharmacy immediately panicked. Some took stances, some hide and some drew their weapons. With single wave of Damien's hand they all went back to work.
"Speak!" Damien grunted.
"Recently we have been buying ingredients for the medicine in bulk however currently we are running low on supplies."
"Then go buy some more."
"That's the problem Sect leader, we have barely managed to get some supplies however it is becoming increasingly harder by the day. We estimate that within two days time the city will no longer have enough supplies to keep up with the demand."
Damien frowned and closed his eyes. He had not been expecting this. The ingredients in his medicine were easily obtainable and as common as grass. They were more easier to obtain than paracetamol.
If they could not find any ingredients then this must mean that someone or some people were buying them as well in bulk. 'They must be trying to recreate the cure so that they can also it and make a fortune. For fucks sake... one headache after another.'
"How far away is the nearest city?" Damien asked the maid.
"The nearest city is Changa City. It is a day away by horse." The maid replied immediately. Damien scratched his chin.
"What about to and from on carriage with merchandise?"
"I would say 4 days maximum."
"That's too long!" Damien muttered. If the supplies ran out after 2 days without replacement then that would kill the momentum they had been building and it would also create a blacklash. The people would blame his clan for not being able to cure people despite having cured so many.
It was simple human nature. It was like getting rejected by a sexy model and to make yourself feel better you tell yourself she was ugly. In this case the clan would be the sexy model.
Damien needed to find a solution quickly otherwi-
"I have a solution." Damien said. The maid smiled and stared at him hoping that he would continue to speak and cut the silence.
"It's not that big of a deal but I'll just pop to the nearby city and buy the ingredients, it should hold us for a while until we send a caravan to get us ingredients."
"No Sect Leader you must not do that!" The maid immediately shouted in a shrill voice.
"Why not?"
"Because you are the Sect leader. Doing such menial things as the sect leader would disgrace us all. Please send me and I will get back in a matter of two days instead of four."
"No," Damiens reply surprised the maid. "This is no small menial task. People's life's depend on it. It is a matter of life and death. If I can safe these people then I will." Damien turned to the maid and placed his hand on her shoulder. "Do not ever think of people's life's as something small and menial."
Despite saying that Damien wanted to spit out blood because of his hypocrisy. He had caused this epidemic. He was the reason why people were dying. He didn't care about them though. He only wanted to rectify his mistake of not seeing this problem before hand.
"Bring me the book and all the money." Damien ordered the maid.
