Everything Belonged To Lu Jinhai

Later in the evening, Xue Luli finally woke up. She went into the children's room to check in them but they were not there so she decided to go downstairs.

As she going, she could hear the children's laughter. It seemed they really had a good time at the park.

When she got to the living room, she immediately saw the tall handsome young man holding Little Li in his arms.

She easily recognized him. Lu Jinhai was here already. When Lu Jinhai turned, his eyes caught a beautiful yet familiar face. He easily recognized Xue Luli though he had seen her ' real ' face just once or twice.

He dropped Little Li in the floor

"Why don't you go to your room and get your things...I need to talk to your mother quickly" Lu Jinhai said to the three children who quickly bran upstairs.

When they left, the warmth that filled the room gradually decreased.

" I...."

Before Xue Luli could say anything, Lu Jinhai gave her the divorce papers.

Xue Luli bit her lips before she took a deep breath.

"I wanted to discuss something important with you. It's regarding the kids" Xue Luli said

" What about them?" Lu Jinhai asked. Though he talked to her casually, the coldness in his voice could be felt.

Xue Luli looked at him, unsure of wether to tell him that she also wants custody of the children.

" Don't tell me you want custody" Lu Jinhai said. As usual, he had already seen through her. This was probably one of his many talents that made him one of the most successful figure in the country.

Since there was nothing to hide,

"Yes...I want custody" Xue Luli answered.

Lu Jinhai didn't say anything and just stared at her.

Xue Luli didn't know what he was thinking and honestly, she didn't care. All she cared about was getting custody of the children.

" I really don't want to fight with you because of this but I..."

"What makes you think you can fight with me?" Lu Jinhai interrupted.

Xue Luli was a bit stunned. When she actually thought about it, she really didn't have what it takes to fight for the children's custody.

She had no money, infact she had no source of income. When she and Lu Jinhai finally gets divorced, where would she go to?.

Come to think of it, she really had nothing and no one in this place. Everything she had all belonged to Lu Jinhai.

If the children stayed with her, wouldn't they suffer?

"I'm sorry. I didn't think this through" Xue Luli said as she sat down on the chair and rubbed her temples.

Lu Jinhai was surprised when he saw her expression. It was as if he was going to take something precious from her which surprised him.

She seemed to have changed a lot since the last time he saw her, even her attitude towards the children changed.

Xue Luli looked at the papers in her hand.
