Chapter 28

The weather today is nice and windy, and the vibe is peaceful, but it might not be for long because our families were flying in for Thanksgiving. I already knew how my mother was and I got used to the fact that she was outspoken and conversational, but with my mom plus Leah's and Zane's mother it was bound to be like old times; fun mixed with lots of headaches.

"So what time do you think your parents will be here?" I set the mop aside and went to dispose of the trash they had laid out on the coffee table. Sometimes I don't know how they get anything done with all this clutter in the way.

Zane exhaled and crashed onto the couch. "You just had to remind me that they were coming, huh?"
