Chapter 22

After my family and friends left, I decided to stay in the Bahamas for an extra two days for the hell of it and I didn't regret that decision at all.

The night I spent with Ryan was incredible. It reminded me of all the old times when we would cuddle and he made me feel warm and protected, but when the morning came it was like everything just changed for him. He didn't want me to stay here without him and he even brought up the idea of us being friends with benefits as if that worked the first time. The whole reason for our talk was to put our friendship first and our feelings second, it's only been a week and a half and we already were failing at it.

I pulled my suitcase behind me up the stairs to my apartment and rushed inside to take a long-needed shower from that long flight I had. Dropping my things to the floor, I kicked off my shoes and realized there was music playing from my art room. Please don't be a squatter. Please don't be a squatter.
