Chapter Fifty six ..see me differently

"You know ,Eloise actually learnt the Chinese language really fast .

Those two were the best couple ever .Even though they were still young ,they made me feel the appetite of getting engaged too .

Do you know the last vow they took on their wedding day ?

They vowed to travel the whole world together with their children but unfortunately ,they both separated .You know before she left ,we celebrated her 25th birthday and I thought we'd celebrate Jakes' 26th birthday but nothing as such happened . Aww! I miss those two together but since you liked the photos ,I'd bring you all the videos when I go home .

I kept all that safe at Google cloud because I knew that one day ,I'd certainly need it ."Joan entertained Nicholas and Stephanie .

"Thanks alot Joan ,thanks for been there for our daughter .

You have no idea how all this means to us .You've given us a feel of our daughter's happiest past .Thanks alot my dear .."Stephanie and Nicholas thanked Joan .

"My happiest past without you dear mama and papa went so well and so stop pretending like you wanted to be apart of that .

Joan came here for my sake and you are sitting here dining with her and asking her about my past with Jakes that I want to erase ,huh ?

What kind of parents are you ? Can't you let me be ? "Eloise vented out her anger on her parents .

"Eloise ,they are your parents . Don't talk to them in that manner .

They deserve some respect ."Joan tried to calm Eloise down .

"Oh please Joan! To hell with respect so please cut the crap about respect for those two .These two aren't my parents .They don't love me ! "Eloise shouted on top of her voice .

"That's not true Eloise ,they do love you .

You will realize that once you avail yourself for their love .

Trust me Eloise ."Joan continued to merge the broken relationship of both parents and daughter .

"Joan ,are you on my side or their side .Are you with me or not ? Tell me now Joan !

Where is your stand ? "Eloise demanded an answer from Joan .

"I have no stand! How many times do I have to tell you that I share no pride in hypocrisy ,huh ?

Eloise ,I know your parents made a mistake but think about this ,how many parents can humble themselves and lower their ego to sought for their child's forgiveness .

Some don't even come back looking for their children .Just like me ,my dad left my mum when she was four months pregnant with my sister ,I was only nine years old then .I waited day and night for his return but he never showed up .

As for my sister , she doesn't even know who her father is and as for my mum ,only God knows the pain she went through bringing both my sister and I up as responsible kids .

That's why day and night ,I work hard to provide for my family .I choose to be jovial at times because of my mother's and sister's happiness .

I know it hurts when your parents abandon you but yours deliberately gave you up for adoption because they wanted you to have a better life .They followed up and saw you grow for a while .

When they returned from China ,they came back to check up on you .But my father didn't even bother to check up on us ."For the first time in such a long time ,Eloise saw Joan cry .She was always the jovial and happy fun girl but today she broke down into tears after recalling what her dad had done to she and her family .

"For such a long time that we waited ,he never returned .I swear I'd give everything to bring him back home but no ,I can't waste my time anymore on someone who doesn't care anymore about us .

That's why I 'm telling you now to give your parents another chance Eloise , everything turns out fine that way ."Joan sobbed and Eloise hugged her in tears too .

"It's not that easy to do Joan .They don't love me ,they see me as a replacement for their daughter and that's it .

I don't want to be seen as a replacement for my twin ,I want to be seen as someone different with a different personality and perception in their eyes and not as their lost daughter and my twin ; Eloise Jenkins.

Come with me Joan , let's chat in my room instead ."Eloise held Joan's hand and sent her to her room.

Meanwhile , Nicholas and Stephanie were at least happy that someone was there to comfort their daughter .

"So what do I offer you Joan ? Anyways ,I've even forgotten who I'm talking too .You eat and drink whatever you want without anyone's permission..hehe .

So eat and drink whatever you want ,the truth is thank you for coming over .I really needed someone to talk too .I really needed someone to cry on .I really needed that shoulder to cry on ,thank you for coming over Joan ."Eloise thanked Joan who was already eating cupcakes and ice cream that she picked from Eloise's refrigerator .

"Hmm! I must say these cupcakes are really delicious .

And don't worry Eloise ,I'm staying for a week actually . Let's just say my boss gave me an off week so I thought of coming to pay you a visit .

It's been eighteen years since I saw your face but I still believed that you were still alive in all these years .

You know Jakes never stopped looking for you too ..." .Joan stopped as soon as Eloise changed her facial expression when she heard Jakes' name .

"Alright fine ,you need not get bored because of this alright ?

I'm off to bed but before I need to take a shower and look fresh .Who knows ,I might meet my dream man in my dream ..haha ! "Joan joked as usual and went to take a shower .

"Oh damn! I just love the shower .Come join me in here Eloise woww! "Joan jammed in the bathroom .

"Hey crazy girl ,I've already taken my shower okay ?"Eloise replied her while she dressed the bed .

"This girl is so crazy ,I just wish she stays happy as always .."Eloise said .
