Ned had to wait days for his hunter card to arrive. He was, after all, a rare case to pass an exam even before the exam ends.
Instead, he was given a temporary pass. A necklace made of wood that only hunters were able to read by touching with their mana. They were 'scripted' (Anjenette's exact word) to store mana inside. The necklace was like an identification card given to visitors. Only this time, Ned was the visitor and somewhere in the White Castle Rock, a group of hunters was monitoring his location.
After Ned was somewhat settled with his new surroundings and information, Anjenette summoned a hunter for his Silk Road.
"We tried fixing it," Anjenette said, gesturing for the Silk Road on the table folded into squares. It looked clean. Ned let out a worried breath. "Don't worry. Your item is graded unknown. So I have to convince them that without it, you wouldn't survive the beasts. Eventually, you would not be able to save the other candidates."
