"Do I have a System?"

He has fully recovered now, but the dirt and sweat in his body was making him uncomfortable. Therefore, he started walking towards the pool. From his memories, he knew that there were no bathrooms in this world. The people in this world used pools to clean themselves. In his family mansion, there were two pools- one for the men and the other for women.

Since it was noontime, there was no one in the pool. He looked at his own reflection in the pool to see a young man with a handsome face. He had blue hair and blue eyes as his mother.

He then jumped into the pool. The pool was refreshing as the water was now warm due to the heat of the sun. After bathing, he went back to his room and sat on his study table.

He began to calmly analyze these sudden changes in his life. He remembered how he died in the explosion of the Amazon echo, how he walked towards the white light, the pain he had to endure and where he had reached presently.

Then he began to analyze the life of the previous owner of this body. The name of the previous owner was James Belford. This meant from now on he would also be recognized with this name. James was the third son of John Belford of the Belford family. The Belford family was the second major power in the Salt Lake City, which is one of the prominent cities in the state of Koshmer.

James' two elder brothers were the members of the Thunderbird Sect and he only had some childhood memories about them since they stayed in the Sect and was busy cultivating that they had not returned home for a long time.

The Thunderbird Sect is a third grade sect, which was also ranked first among the sects of Ferando Kingdom.

James grew up alone with few friends as others considered him as an idiot. James feared unfamiliar faces; he was reluctant to meet new people and making friends. This was the reason why others considered him as an idiot. As James grew up he realized the importance of building relationships, but it was late. The people who considered him as an idiot did not give him an opportunity to prove himself.

Soon, he was sent to the Skylight sect for cultivation just like his two elder brothers. The Skylight sect was a Grade one sect, which was located on the Skylight Mountain. Most of the natives of the Koshmera state attended the Skylight sect as their basic step in the cultivation path.

If one was extremely talented and could become a core disciple in the sect at an early age then they could get a chance to enter the Second grade or even Third grade sect. However, this was extremely rare, in the past 100 years only two persons were able to get into a better sect. It was Adam and Rick, the two elder brothers of James who could get the attention of a third grade sect that is the Thunderbird sect.

James was not talented as his brothers. He did not acquire the Elemental Qi as his brothers. He had only an average talent.

He dreamt becoming powerful like his brothers someday and be known as a great warrior. Even if he lacked in power he challenged others powerful than him only to be defeated continuously. Others considered him like their punching bag and used him to test their techniques. Without realizing this, he went on challenging others.

It was during one such challenge that caused James to be injured heavily and gradually die.

After being injured, he was brought back to his home. The doctors said that he was in a coma and he would die soon and there was no way to save him unless any miracle happened. His mother became sorrowful after hearing this and continued treating him in the hope of this miracle. Now the miracle has happened. Only Aswin new that James had died and there was no miracle, which saved him. However, Aswin also understood that since he was now the owner of this body he would be James from now on.

After considering the past, he began thinking of the future. "How can I become powerful? How can I take revenge? Are there any shortcuts? I remember from the novels I read back in the Earth that the person who got reborn had a system to assist. Do I have a System?"

"System...Can you hear me?" he called out. But, he didn't receive any answer. "Hey System, are you there?"....He called out for the system many times but he did not get an answer. Seems like all the systems in novels are just made up for entertainment…Looks like I have to do it without a system.
