Outside Nana's ward, Jinhai was deadly calm. Jian and Nian fell asleep in his arms, exhausted with all the crying. Liang Xiao Dan offered to take them as his arms could become numb, soon carrying them for long, but he declined her help.
"No need, mother-in-law. I want to hold them."
