The next morning, Fara was buried in emails when Bonita appeared at her door, a bright bouquet of vibrant lilies and roses cradled in her hands.
"Special delivery!" Bonita chimed, setting the flowers on Fara's desk. The sweet scent of fresh blooms instantly filled the room.
Fara frowned, pulling her attention away from her monitor. "Who's it from?"
"No card," Bonita replied with a sly grin, leaning on the edge of Fara's desk. "Should I toss it?"
Fara sighed, her lips pressed into a thin line. "If there's no name, then yes."
But Bonita shook her head dramatically. "Wait! It's from Sean. I saw him write the order myself!" Her eyes sparkled with mischief. "So…what's going on, huh? You and the guy with the perfect jawline running a scandalous little affair now?"
Fara gave her a sharp look. "Bonita, please. I have a reputation."
Bonita only smirked. "Oh, come on. Everyone deserves a little spice. But seriously, is he still married?"
