MARRIAGE CEREMONY

"Abi" Laura called as she placed the dishes in the sink and turned to face her daughter.

"Yes mum" Abigail answered trying to hide her nervousness, any small movement on her side her mother would notice and know that she had been lying the entire time.

"Are you alright?" Laura asked as she placed both her hands on each side of Abi's cheek. 

Now Abi was feeling even more guilty, the way her mum was looking at her right now made it impossible for her to not say the truth. It didn't seem fair that she had to lie to her mum but again if she knew that truth then it might just worsen the situation.

"I'm alright mum" Abi said and placed her arm on her mother's wrist as she smiled trying to convince her mother.
